SINP Kolkata PhD Admission 2022 – Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) Kolkata invites applications for admission to Ph.D. program in Physics and Biophysical Sciences starting from August 2022 (2022-23 Session)

Eligibility Criteria
- Physics: Master’s degree in Physics.
- Openings for Ph.D. may be available in the following broad areas:
- Theoretical Physics: Theoretical high energy physics, non-perturbative quantum field theory, gauge theories, classical and quantum computation, strongly correlated systems, QCD, quantum condensed matter physics
- Experimental Physics: Nuclear Astrophysics and low energy nuclear reactions, Semiconductor materials and devices, Surface Physics, Nano Science, Quantum Optics and Cold Atoms, Experimental High Energy at ALICE and CMS, Muon Tomography, Astro-Particle physics, Gravitational waves (LIGO).
- Biophysical Sciences: Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry (with Life Science at 10+2 level) or Master’s degree in Life Sciences (with Chemistry and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or M.Tech. in Biotechnology (with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Life Science at 10+2 level).
- Openings for Ph.D. may be available in the following broad areas:
- Biophysical Sciences Group: Cellular and molecular biology, biophysics & structural biology, synthetic biology, metabolomics, proteomics,spectroscopy.
- Students appearing in the final examinations for their Master’s degree during the current academic session may also apply.

- CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR NET for JRF
- GATE in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry
