IIT Guwahati MBA Admission – School of Business (SOB), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, has invited application for admission to two-year (for semesters) Residential Program – Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program for the Academic Year 2022-23

 

IIT Guwahati MBA Admission Dates 2022

  • Tentative schedule for admission to 2022-2023 session of the MBA programme:
  • Commencement of online applications: 12th Janaury 2022
  • Last date of submission of the applications: 11th February 2022 (5:00 pm)
  • Dates for Personal Interview: 15th to 19th March 2022
  • List of Selected Candidates: Tentatively by First Week of May 2022.

 

IIT Guwahati MBA Admission Eligibility Criteria 2022

  • The prospective candidates applying to the MBA Program at the School of Business at IIT Guwahati must satisfy the following criteria:
  • A valid score in the Common Admissions Test (CAT)
  • A Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree with at least 60% marks or a minimum CPI or CGPA of 6.0 out of 10.
  • For SC/ST/PwD candidates, a relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e., minimum 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e., minimum 5.50 on a 10-point scale) is permissible.
  • For SC/ST/PwD candidates, a relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e., minimum 55%) or equivalent in CGPA (i.e., minimum 5.50 on a 10-point scale) is permissible.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India
  • The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

  • The candidates should fill up all the mandatory details in the sequential order of

Selection Process

  • The selection of candidates to the MBA program at School of Business at IIT Guwahati will be open to those applicants who have qualified the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs every year.
  • The prospective candidates have to apply for the MBA program to the School of Business separately and IIMs do not have any role in selection of candidates to the MBA program by the School of Business.
    1. Performance in CAT – 70% Weightage
    2. Gender Diversity – 10% Weightage
    3. Work Experience – 7% Weightage
    4. Performance in Class XII (or Equivalent) – 5% Weightage
    5. Performance in Graduation Degree – 5% Weightage
    6. Performance in Post Graduation Degree – 3% Weightage
