Gangadhar Meher University PhD Admission Eligibility Criteria 2022

  • A Consistently good academic career with not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade at master’s level in the subject concerned for general candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non- creamy layer)/PH candidates.
  • Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/SLET or endowed with UGC teacher Fellowship or Study Leave from the Government of Odisha, DHE are eligible to apply. The candidates who have qualified NET/SLET/ GATE/JEST/DBT/INSPIRE/NFST/NFSC/NFOBC/ICHR/ICPR/ICSSR/ICMR are exempted from the entrance test. The Submission of the relevant documents is mandatory to claim the relaxation.
  • Candidates who have cleared the M. Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in the aggregate or its equivalent and Research methodology as one of the papers are exempted from appearing on the Entrance Test.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed.

 

Gangadhar Meher University PhD Admission Application Process 2022

  • Candidates should download the Admission Form from the university website www.gmuniversity.ac.in and submit the same with a Original Bank Draft of Rs.1500/- drawn in favour of “The Comptroller of Finance, G. M. University, Sambalpur” and payable at Sambalpur.
  • The Application duly filled in along with required documents should reach the undersigned on or before 24.12.2021 up to 4.00pm either by post or by hand.

Selection Procedure

  • Admission into the PhD program shall be based strictly on merit. The merit list of a candidate will be made on the basis of career assessment and interview/viva-voce  i.e 70% career assessment + 30% interview/Viva-voce.
  • The qualifying mark in the viva voce is 40%.
