Important Dates

  • Commencement of filling application form : November 1, 2022
  • Last date of application form submission : January 31, 2023
  • Date of PhD Entrance Examination : February 05, 2023
  • Publication of PET result on the University website/email : February 13, 2023
  • Personal Interview & Research Aptitude : February 27-28, 2022

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The minimum eligibility criteria required for admission to the Ph.D. Program is a degree in any one of the areas given below:
    • Masters in Technology or Engineering
    • Masters in Business Administration
    • One/Two years of LLM program with either at least five years of integrated LLB degree after 10+2 examination or three years LLB degree after 10+2+3 examination.
    • Masters in Media & Communication
    • Masters in Design
    • Masters in Hotel Management
    • M.Phil
  • The candidates seeking admission to the ADYPU Ph.D. programs shall have requisite grades as shown below:
  • A Master’s degree with at least 55 percent marks in aggregate or equivalent. Grade B in the UGC seven-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

Exemption from appearing in Entrance Examination:

  • The Candidates fulfilling at least one of the following conditions will be exempted from Entrance Examination:
  • Candidates qualified in UGC-NET (including JM) UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) /SLET /GATE (valid score) or teacher fellowship holders will be exempted from the Entrance Test for Ph.D. programme.
  • Candidates who have passed M. Phil. Programme of any other university will be exempted from the Entrance Test for Ph.D. programme.

  • Completed Application Forms are invited by email / Online / By Post by the Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune from all eligible candidates for admission to PhD programme in the University Departments Research Centers.
  • Hard copy of registration form, passing Certificates & payment details should be posted to the following on or before January 31, 2023

Application Fee

  • For both General & Reserved Category : Rs.2000/-
  • Examination Fee : 5000/- for appearing for Entrance Examination (for both General & Reserved Category)

Admission Process

  • ADYPU Ph.D. Program: A Two-Stage Process
  • Ph.D. Entrance Test: An Entrance Test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks as 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific.
  • Interview / viva-voce: An interview / viva-voce to be organized by the ADYPU when the candidates are required to present their research interest / area through a presentation before a duly constituted Doctoral Research Committee.

 

Ph.D. Entrance Test

  • ADYPU PET is a 100 marks Test. The Entrance Test will be divided into two parts. Each part is of 50 marks.
  • Duration & timing
    • Part One (Common for all Schools) : 11.30 am to 1.00 pm (1.5 hours)
    • Part Two (Subject Specific (specialization)) : 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm (1.5 hours)
    • Standard of Passing : 50% Marks

  • Analytical Writing (Two Sections)
  • Verbal Reasoning (One Section)
  • Quantitative Reasoning (One Section)
  • Marks : 50 Marks
  • Standard time : 1.5 hours

 

Part II – Subject Specific (specialization)
