Kerala Government Notifies Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) February 2020 Notification out - Start Applying

Kerala Government has advertised a notification of Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) February 2020 to select teachers for Category I (Lower Primary Classes) Category II (Upper Primary Classes) Category III (High School Classes) and Category IV (for Language Teachers - Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to UP classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Crafts) and Physical Education Teachers.

Kerala Education Department published the examination date and time table schedule for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) to be conducted in February 2020.

Eligibility Criteria for KTET 2020

Educational Qualification


Candidates applying for Kerala TET should possess following educational qualifications

Lower Primary Classes (Category I)

Aspirants must have 12th or intermediate pass certificate with minimum 45% marks in aggregate with any recognized board and have two years trained teacher certificate which will be conducted by the board exam of Kerala Government.

Upper Primary Classes (Category II)

Aspirants who are going to apply for the Kerala TET Application Form 2020 must have completed their graduation in B.A/ B.Sc./ B. Com and have 2 years diploma in elementary education.

High School classes (Category III)

Applicants must have a graduation degree in B.A/ B.Sc. / B. Com with minimum of 45% marks and also completed their B.ED with the subject concerned.

Upper Class (Category IV)

You must have successfully passed their Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in teaching in any of the relevant subjects which are approved by Universities/NCTE/ Board of Examinations/ Government of Kerala.

  

Age Limit


There is no age limit prescribed for candidates appearing for K-TET

  

KTET 2020 Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern

There will be a single paper in each category.

All the questions will be multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each.

Out of the four alternatives, only one answer will be correct.

Total number of MCQ type questions will be 150.

KTET 2020 Syllabus

Syllabus of the K-TET for Category I, II, III & IV will be published by SCERT Kerala in the website www.scert.kerala.gov.in and the Pareeksha Bhavan, Kerala www.keralapareekshabhavan.in

 

KTET 2020 Application Process

The Prospectus, Notification, facility for online submission of application will be available at the websites of Pareeksha Bhavan www.keralapareekshabhavan.in and www.bpekerala.in.

Steps to Apply for KTET 2020

The first step of the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test application process is Fee payment

Candidates have to pay the application fee through Debit card/ Credit Card/ net banking or challan.

Open the official website and enter the Transaction ID or SB collect reference number, mobile number, Date of Birth and other details in the login page

Fill in the academic and personal information

Upload the scanned signature and photograph

After completion of the upload process, you have to Save the page

Check the information fill by you and if all the details are correct, press Final Submit button

Candidates may take a print out of the application submission page and challan for future reference.

Send these documents along with certificates copies to the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan.

 
Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay the Exam Fee as per their category. The application fee can be paid via online mode through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card etc.

General/OBC/OEC Candidates

Rs.500/-

SC/ST/PWD Candidates

Rs.250/-
