Admission Notice-2012

BPT, BOT, BPO Admission-2012

Applications are invited on prescribed forms for admission to the 1st year of following courses for the academic session 2012-2013

Entrance test for admission will be conducted on 10th June, 2012, Sunday at Delhi by University of Delhi

Eligibility Conditions

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) (4½ years)

Eligibility: 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry Biology and English (PCBE), provided the candidate pass each subject separately

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) (4½ years)

Eligibility: 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE), provided the candidate pass each subject separately

Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO) (4½ years)

Eligibility: 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics and English (PCBE/PCME), provided the candidate pass each subject separately

Eligibility Qualification: SSC examination of CBSE or equivalent (10+2) with 50% or more marks for general category and 45% for SC/ST/PH and CWAPP category in the aggregate of four subjects; PCBE for BPT/BOT and PCBE/PCME for BPO, provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately

The candidates appearing/appeared in the 10+2 examination may also apply

However, it is subjected to their clearance of qualifying examination with required percentage of marks before declaration of result of entrance test

The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination before the year 2009-2010 and have discontinued their regular studies for more than 3 years are not eligible to appear in the entrance test

Age (as on 01st August, 2012): Minimum 17 years of age and maximum of 23 years of age for General category, 28 years of age in case of SC/ST/PH category

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, General 20, SC 08, ST 04, OBC 15, PH 02, STNA 03, CWAPP 02, FN 02, Total 54

Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics, General 15, SC 05, ST 02, OBC 08, PH 01, CWAPP 01

PH (Physically Handicapped-(3% seats) horizontal reservation across the categories), STNA-states where such training facilities are not available, CWAPP-Children of War Widows and Army personnel who have died or disabled during hostilities, FN-Foreign Nationals

Cost of Prospectus and application form: Prospectus will be available at following costs

General Rs 500/- (Institute counter-by hand), Rs 550/- (by post)

SC/ST/PH Rs 250/- (Institute counter-by hand), Rs 300/- (by post)

The Prospectus cum Application form can be obtained by depositing a pay order/demand draft drawn in favour of Director, Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute for the Physically Handicapped payable at New Delhi

Prospectus will be available on sale counter in Accounts Section of Institute between 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all working days

Important Dates

Date of sale of Prospectus at Institute: 03rd April, 2012 to 18th May, 2012 till 4.00 p.m.

Last date for issue of Prospectus by post: 11th May, 2012, Friday, 5.00 p.m.

Last date for receipt of application form: 18th May, 2012, Friday, 5.00 p.m.

Date of entrance test (BPT/BOT/BPO): 10th June, 2012, Sunday

Application form with prospectus can also be downloaded from the Institute website www.iphnewdelhi.in

However, such down loaded application forms should be submitted alongwith a Bank draft of Rs 550/- for General Category and Rs 300/- for SC/ST/PH candidates
