Eligibility Criteria for Visva Bharati Santiniketan PhD Admission 2021
- Must possess a Master’s degree or a professional degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate
- Applicants who are belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/Differently abled and other categories shall get a relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade as per the decision of the conducting body. Candidates who are differently abled and belonging to either of the reserved categories (SC/ST/ OBC (non creamy layer) shall not be eligible for the double benefit of being a reserved category candidate
- Aspirants who have qualified the M.Phil coursework by securing minimum 55% marks in aggregate and successfully completing the M.Phil degree shall be eligible to apply
- Candidates who have obtained a degree equivalent to M.Phil degree of an Indian institution or a Foreign Educational Institution is also eligible
- UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE/ teacher fellowship; Or
- An applicant must have obtained an M.Phil degree from Visva Bharati or any other University recognized by the UGC.

- Candidates have to apply through our online application system (vbu.ucanapply.com/entrance). The online application allows the candidate to provide all information and also to upload scanned photograph (4 cm x 3 cm) and signature

Application Fee
- Gen/OBC & EWS: Rs. 1000/-, for each additional subject: Rs.400/-
- SC/ST & PwD: Rs. 300/-, for each additional subject: Rs.150/-
