University of Calicut M.Phil Admission 2020 – University of Calicut invites applications from eligible candidates including candidates exempted from entrance test for admission to the M.Phil program offered in various subjects for the academic year 2020. Eligibility Criteria for University of Calicut M.Phil Admission 2020
(i) Candidates for admission to the M.Phil. programme shall have a Masters degree or an professional degree declared equivalent to the Masters degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale or;
(ii) An equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or;
(iii) Any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions
(iv) A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time
(v) Eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks without including the grace mark procedures.

Duration of the Program
M.Phil. program shall be for a minimum duration of two consecutive semesters/one year.

Entrance Test
a) Candidates eligible for registration to M.Phil. shall be decided by an Entrance Test
b) Entrance Test shall be conducted at the University Departments on the dates notified.
c) A minimum of 40% marks in entrance test is necessary for qualifying the Entrance
d) Syllabus of the Entrance Test will be only from the concerned PG syllabus, with 50% objective and 50% descriptive questions.
Exemption from Entrance Test
UGC- CSIR JRF Fellowship holders are exempted from Entrance Test and 1 (one) seat will be reserved for JRF holders.

University of Calicut M.Phil Admission 2020 Application Process
Applications can be submitted online from 25th May 2020 to 05th June 2020 midnight
Step-I Candidates applying for M.Phil 2020 shall initially create a CAP ID by providing the basic details using the “New User (Create CAP ID)” link provided in the M.Phil 2020 registration page.
After successful submission of the details, a CAP ID and Password will be sent to the registered mobile number instantly (Mobile number of students/ parents/ guardian only to be furnished).
Step-II Registration Completion and Making Payment: With the CAP ID and Password received in the registered mobile number, the candidate can login and fill the registration page by providing required data.
Candidates shall take utmost care while selecting the reservation category during the filling up of registration data
For completing the registration, candidates shall click on the “Finalise & Proceed to Payment” button and make payment.

Payment During the payment, the website will be redirected to the University of Calicut Instant Web Payment System (CUIWPS) page where the student can select the desired choice of payment

Hall Tickets
  • CAP ID allotted during the registration process is mandatory for downloading hall tickets for the entrance exams. This CAP ID should be noted in  for all future communications by the candidate
  • Candidates can download hall tickets for the entrance exam from www.cuonline.ac.in 3 days before the date of entrance exam
  • No individual communication regarding entrance exam will be sent to the candidates and the candidates shall go through the University Websites and the University Press release for the latest information
