Eligibility Criteria for UBKV PhD Admission 2020

• a) Consistently good academic records upto Third semester of Master’s Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture/Forestry Science having at least 65% marks or an CGPA of 6.5 out of 10.00 or 3.75 out of 5.00 or 3.0 out of 4.00 or 2.25 out of 3.00 for general and OBC category (for SC/ST/PH candidate 60 % marks or OGPA 6.0 out of 10.00 or 3.44 out of 5.00 or 2.75 out of 4.00 or 2.06 out of 3.00) upto the Third semester of Master’s degree program from any recognized Indian / Foreign University followed by Bachelors’ Degree in Agricultural / Horticultural / Forestry Science under 10+2+4 or 10+1+4 or 11+4.

• b) Experience of Dissertation in University / Institute for at least one year/SIX MONTHS.

• c) Minimum age for admission is 23 years as on 31/12/2020.

• d) Students passed with a three years Bachelor degree course are not eligible.

Provision of Scholarship

• State Merit Scholarship will be offered to the admitted state domiciled candidates as per merit panel in descending order and availability of scholarship under the respective Department.

UBKV PhD Admission 2020 Application Procedure

• Applications in prescribed form are invited through online only at www.ubkv.ac.in. / https://admissionubkv.in/PG-admission/ for admission to PhD Programme under Research Scholar / In-service Research Scholar category in the following disciplines under the Faculties of Agriculture and Horticulture for the session 2020-2021.

• The candidate must satisfy one of the qualifications as given in Annexure-I as indicated against the relevant disciplines to which admission is sought in Ph. D. Program.

• All related details must be mentioned properly in an online application. Candidates are required to upload the scanned copy of the latest passport size photograph and signature in the appropriate place. A copy of the filled in application form must be kept for future use.

Selection Procedure

• The final admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit and according to the position in the merit list

• The score shall include – 10% of Graduation marks, 20% of marks of the Master Degree programme upto third semester and 70% from the subject of choice. Only the OGPA up to third semester will be considered in case of Master Degree marks to prepare the merit panel

• On the day of admission the applicant needs to submit the final mark sheet and Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) of Master Degree programme.
