M.P.H. (Occupational and Environmental Health) Degree Course (Under CBCS)

Duration: 2 years

Number of Seats

• Total number of seats is 10 per academic year. Of the total number of 10 seats for the MPH Degree course, 3 seats are earmarked for sponsored candidates from Industry/Government. All the candidates including the sponsored candidates will have to appear for the Interview. Separate merit list will be prepared for the directly applied candidates and the sponsored candidates and the selection would be made on the order of merit.

 

Eligibility Criteria

• A candidate desiring to join the 2- year degree program leading to the Master in Public Health (MPH) Degree Course in Occupational and Environmental Health should have passed the MBBS/ BDS/B.Tech (Chemical Engineering)/BE(Civil or Public Health Eng.)/B.Sc.( Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences or any other life science programs) or equivalent degree(Engineering/Science/Health Science)of any institution/ University recognized by the AICTE/UGC.

• Candidates should possess recognized MBBS/BDS Degree examination and have completed Internship and have registered his/ her name with anyone of the State Medical/Dental Council.
• Candidates possessing higher qualifications i.e. DGO/ MD (Obstetrics & Gynaecology)/ MS (Obstetircs & Gynaecology) are also eligible. Please ensure whether the following certificates (photocopy and other specified items) have been enclosed along with the Application Form duly filled-in:

• A candidate who seeks admission to M.Sc. CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY Degree Program should have passed MBBS/BDS/BV.Sc. or B.Sc. [Allied Health Sciences/ Biology/ Biochemistry/ Biomedical Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Emergency Trauma Care Technology/ Genetics/ Microbiology/Life Sciences/ Zoology/ Agriculture / B. Tech. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should possess B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences in the speciality of Respiratory Care Technology or either equivalent B.Sc. Respiratory Therapy or Bachelor of Respiratory Therapy and Technology (3rd Years and 1st Year Internship).

Selection Procedure

• Selection will be made on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the Interview.
• Intimation letter will be sent to the candidates provisionally selected for admission. Speciality allotment will be made through Interview in the order of merit.
• In case of candidates who secure the same marks in the Interview, ranking will be made based on their academic performance from First year to Final year in the qualifying examination prescribed for admission.
• Results will be published in the Notice Board and also in the website: www.sriramachandra.edu.in
• Selected candidates will be intimated individually through post.

 

Interview centre:

• The Interview will be conducted at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University), Porur, Chennai-600 116. The candidates have to appear for the Interview at their own expenses.

 

Medical Exam

• The candidates provisionally selected for admission will have to undergo a medical examination at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & Research (Deemed to be University), Porur, Chennai – 116 and only those who are found medically fit will be admitted to the course concerned.

• Application form are also downloaded from the official website www.sriramachandra.edu.in
• Application form should be filled in carefully and legibly by the candidate in his/her own handwriting.
• If the application form is downloaded from the Deemed University’s website, a demand draft for Rs.1000/-(Rupees One thousand only) drawn in favour of “Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & research (Deemed to be University)” payable at Chennai towards the application fee.
• The application fee of Rs.1000/-(Rupees One thousand only) will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Application will be rejected summarily if incomplete or sent without enclosing the relevant certificates and demand draft as mentioned in clause 1(b) above.
• Application Form duly filled in and securely fastened with the above-mentioned enclosures may be delivered in person or sent by Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier Service to reach: The Registrar, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University), Porur, Chennai – 600 116 on or before 29-06-2019 (Saturday).
