Eligibility Criteria

  • Pharm. D. (Doctor of Pharmacy): A candidate desiring to join the six year program leading to the Pharm. D. Degree should have passed the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent exam (1) A pass in 10+2 exam with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with either Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology); or (2) A pass in D. Pharm. program from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act;
  • B. Pharmacy: A candidate applying for admission to the Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree Program should have passed the HSC/ CBSE/ISC or equivalent exam with the following subjects: English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology or (Botany & Zoology) or equivalent PCI recognized qualification
  • B.ASLP : Candidates applying for admission to B.ASLP Degree Program should have passed 10+2 exam or an exam conducted by the Pre University Board of Education of the respective State Govt. recognized as equivalent thereto and securing a minimum of 50% marks with the following subjects at (b) & However for SC/ST/OBC category of candidates the minimum qualifying marks for admission shall be 45% (c) Biology or Mathematics or Computer Science or Statistics or Electronics or Psychology or Biotechnology or any Science subject.
  • B.Sc. Nursing: Candidate who has passed the qualifying 12th Standard exam (10+2) with science stream and has obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together and passed in English individually.
  • In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC the marks obtained in three core subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology shall be 40% and should have passed in English individually
  • Candidates from State Open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government having Science subjects and English only are also eligible.
  • BPT: A candidate desiring to join the four year program leading to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T) Program should have passed the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent exam with one of the following subject combinations: (1) Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (or); (2) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
  • BOT: A candidate desiring to join the 4½ years program leading to the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy Degree should have passed the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent exam with one of the following subject combinations: (i) Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (or); (ii) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
  • B.Sc.(Hons) AHS /Radiology & Imaging Science Tech/ Cardiac Tech: Should have studied in a recognized School and passed H.S.C. Exam (Academic Stream of 10+2 curriculum) of any State Board/CBSE/ISC (or) any other exam recognized as equivalent thereto, with the group of subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology/Biology) and obtained the minimum eligible marks prescribed by this University
  • B.Sc.(Hons) Radiotherapy Technology: Should have studied in a recognized School and passed H.S.C. Exam (Academic Stream of 10+2 curriculum) of any State Board/CBSE/ISC (or) any other exam recognized as equivalent thereto, with the group of subjects (English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) and obtained the minimum eligible marks prescribed by this University
  • B. Optom. (Bachelor of Optometry): A candidate desiring to join the four year program leading to the B.Optom. Degree program should have secured at least 55% Marks in the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent exam with one of the following subject combinations: (i) Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (or); (ii) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
  • M.Sc. MR & IT (5-year Integrated): A candidate desiring to join the five year program leading to the M.Sc. Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology (Integrated) Degree Course should have passed the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent exam with one of the following subject combinations (1) Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (or); (2) Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
  • B.Sc. (Hons) Biomedical Sciences: A candidate desiring to join the four-year program leading to the B.Sc.(Hons) Biomedical Sciences Degree should have passed the HSC/CBSE/ISC or equivalent exam with one of the following subject combinations: (1) English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics; (2) English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology; (3) English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology 

Age Limit

  • Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2024
  • Date of Birth entered in the Mark Statement of HSC/CBSE/ISC or its equivalent Exams or in the Transfer Certificate/Birth Certificate/ Passport shall be taken for computing the age of the candidates. In case of Discrepancy between two documents, the University‟s decision will be final / binding.

 

Application Process

  • Application Form can be downloaded from website www.sriramachandra.edu.in
  • Application forms are available online only. It should be filled up carefully by the candidates with complete details and submitted online along with scanned copies of documents and photographs as attachments (listed elsewhere in this prospectus).
  • The Registration fee of Rs.1,000/-(Rupees One thousand only) paid while submitting online application, will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • Candidates should attach only scanned copies of Self Attested Certificates relating to qualification, age and community such as HSC Mark sheet(s), HSC Hall Ticket, Birth Certificate etc. The Original Mark Sheet(s) of the qualifying examination and other Original Documents have to be produced only at the time of counseling and admission.
  • Application will not be accepted if incomplete or uploaded without attaching the relevant certificates and without paying the registration fee online.
  • Candidates who have appeared for the HSC (10+2) Examination in March-April, 2024 should enclose a scanned copy of the HSC (10+2)/equivalent exam Hall ticket with the online application form or should attach copy of bonafide or equivalent certificate issued by the Principal/Head of the Institution concerned.

 

Hall Ticket

  • Entrance Examination Hall Ticket can be downloaded by all eligible candidates from the Entrance Examination Application Portal (https://admission.sriher.com/) of this Deemed University from 24.04.2024 onwards.

Entrance Exam Centre

  • The All India Entrance Examination will be conducted at:
  1. Chennai
  2. Coimbatore
  3. Madurai
  • Candidates should choose any one of the above centres and write the name of the Centre chosen in the front page of the Application Form.
  • Details of the venue of Entrance Examination at the centre opted by the candidates will be given in the hall ticket.
  • Request for change of Centre will not be considered. The candidates have to appear for the All India Entrance Examination only at the Centre allotted to them and at their own cost.

 

Duration of Entrance Exam & Question Pattern

  • All India Level Entrance Exams will be conducted in ENGLISH only. The question booklet will consist of 120 multiple choice questions (single best response) in the following pattern:

The MCQ will cover the subjects as given below:

  • Physics – 40
  • Chemistry – 40
  • Biology (Botany & Zoology) – 40
  • Total – 120
  • Note: Candidates who have not studied Biology in the HSC(10+2) but studied Mathematics and seek admission to B.Pharmacy/Pharm.D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) / BASLP Degree Course will have to answer 40 MCQs in Mathematics
  • instead of the MCQs in Biology.
  • Maximum marks will be 100 and the duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
  • All questions must be answered and they carry equal marks. There will be no negative mark for wrong answers. Correct answer must be shaded with a ballpoint pen in the OMR Answer Sheet supplied along with the question booklet.

 

Syllabus

  • Entrance Exam will be based on the HSC (10+2) syllabus followed by major HSC (10+2) Boards

 

Selection Process

  • Selection will be made on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in the Entrance Exam. Intimation letter will be sent by e-mail to the candidates provisionally selected for admission. Programme allotment will be made through counselling in the order of merit.
  • In the case of candidates who secure the same marks in the Entrance Examination, ranking will be made based on their academic performance in the qualifying examination prescribed for admission.
  • In order to facilitate the above ranking process, candidates should submit their copy of H.S.C.(10+2) mark statement on or before 10.06.2024 to the office by e-mail / in person/post/ courier, failing which they will lose rank position in the rank list as indicated in sub clause (b) above.
