SMIMS Medical Biotechnology Admission 2021 – Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS), Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) Gangtok invited applications for admission to B.Sc. in Medical Biotechnology (3-years) and M.Sc. in Medical Biotechnology (2-years) Program for the academic session 2021-22.

B.Sc Medical Biotechnology

  • Counseling/Admission :- Ongoing
  • Last date for Admission against vacant seats :- 31st July 2021
  • Course Commencement Date :- 02nd August 2021

M.Sc Medical Biotechnology

  • Counseling/Admission :- 01st June 2021
  • Commencement of classes :- 02nd August 2021
  • Last date for Admission against vacant seats  :- 31st July 2021

Eligibility Criteria for SMIMS Medical Biotechnology Admission 2021

For BSc Medical Laboratory Technology Program

  • Admission to the BMLT course, a candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry , Biology individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB for General Caste & 45 % for candidates belonging to SC,ST & OBC.

For MSc Medical Biotechnology Program

  • Admission to Int. MSc. Medical Biotechnology course , a candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry , Biology/Biotechnology individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB for General Caste & 45 % for candidates belonging to SC,ST & OBC.

SMIMS Medical Biotechnology Admission 2021 Application Process

  • Eligible candidates can apply online through official website https://smu.edu.in/
  • Completed application form along with the copies of necessary documents in support of claim in any reserved category should be dispatched to the  – Admission Officer, Sikkim Manipal University, 5th Mile, Tadong, Gangtok 737102

Application Fee

  • The cost of the application form is Rs.1000/-. There is no extra charge for the prospectus on purchase of the application form.

Selection Procedure

  • Merit, based on marks in the qualifying examination.
