- SET Admit Card Live : April 22, 2023 (Saturday) for SET Test 01 April 28, 2023 (Friday) for SET Test 02

- SCMC Shortlist for PI : May 30, 2023 (Tuesday)
- PI Slot booking : Not required. Shortlisted candidates for SCMC will be given slots to appear for PI. (Note : Candidates to ensure completion of registration process by paying the institute registration fees to be eligible for PI process)
- Online Written Ability Test (WAT) – Will be conducted in two slots. Candidates will be notified about their slot : June 02, 2023 (Friday) 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. June 03, 2023 (Saturday) 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.
- Portfolio & Document upload on the portal : May 30, 2023 (Tuesday) – June 08, 2023 (Thursday)
- PI dates : June 09, 2023 (Friday) to June 14th, 2023 (Wednesday)
- First Merit List : June 22, 2023 (Thursday)
- Last date for payment of fees for candidates in the first merit list : July 06, 2023 (Thursday)
- Second & Subsequent Merit Lists : Will be declared later
- Programme Commencement : July 20, 2023 (Thursday)
- Orientation programme for students and parents : July 22, 2023 (Saturday)
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants who have completed their 10+2 (or 10+3 Diploma approved by State Board of Technical Education) in any discipline, from any recognised Board / Council / University, with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate marks, or equivalent grades, are eligible to seek admission.
- Applicants expecting their 12th results may also apply. It is incumbent upon them to furnish proof of securing a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) aggregate marks, or equivalent grades.

- SCMC has an annual intake of 120 students

- SET Application is a two-step process:
Step 1
- Visit the official website https://www.set-test.org/ and pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.1950/-
- Select the institute and click the button “Click here to Finalize the amount to be paid” in the ‘Make Payment’ section.
- Pay a non-refundable application fee for Rs 1,000/-.
Step 2
- Choose the option ‘General (SET-General)’ during the ‘ Afternoon session GENERAL/SITEEE’ in the ‘PROGRAMME/DISCIPLINE PREFERENCE’ section.
- Choose the option ‘Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication [SCMC] – [B.A. (M.C)]’ in the ‘PROGRAMMES UNDER GENERAL; Select Institute(s) you may apply to (General)’ section.
- Select the institute and click the button “Click here to Finalize the amount to be paid” in the ‘Make Payment’ section.
- Pay a non-refundable application fee for Rs 1,000/-/.
Admission Process
- Admissions to SCMC are conducted in two rounds
- Round 1 – In the first round candidates appear for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).
- Round 2 – Candidates shortlisted for the second round are required to appear at SCMC for a 3-4 hour assessment consisting of a test of writing abilities, studio test, personal interaction and document verification
