  • Release date of application form: 03 Oct 2023
  • Last date for depositing the application fees: 11 Oct 2023 (11.55 pm)
  • Last date for submitting the on-line application form at website: 12 Oct 2023 (11.55 pm)
  • Last date for submitting printout of the on-line application form: 18 Oct 2023 (4.00 pm)

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • All residents of India fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned below can apply to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences for RCA Nursing 2023 for admission to M.Sc Nursing course in different government colleges, government self-financed colleges and private colleges affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur (State Government Medical University), on the basis of instructions given in this information booklet, the relevant rules of RUHS, Jaipur and directions of State Govt. / Honorable Court.
  • For admission to M.Sc Nursing courses in colleges affiliated to RUHS, it is mandatory to appear in the M.Sc Nursing Entrance Examination 2023 [Rajasthan Centralized Admissions to Nursing Courses 2023, (RCA Nursing 2023)].

Non-service candidates

  • The candidate must have passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic/T&R)/B.Sc. Nursing (Hons)/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences/ other recognized University.
  • The candidate should be registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent with their respective state Nursing Registration Council.
  • The institution from where, the candidate has pursued Baccalaureate nursing programme must be recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • Minimum one year of work experience after passing B.Sc. Nursing / prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing till the last date of submission of on-line application form to RUHS, Jaipur.

Age limit

  • There is no age limit for admission to M.Sc. Nursing course

 

Reservations of Seats

  • 16%, 12%, 21% and 5% of total seats will be reserved for natural born candidates of SC, ST, OBC and MBC Candidates respectively (not adopted) as notified in the Presidential Order for the State of Rajasthan
  • Female candidates will be given reservation as per Government orders 45% seats out of total ST seats will be reserved for STA candidates.
  • 5% seats out of each category of 16% (SC), 12% (ST), 21% (OBC), 5% (MBC) and remaining unreserved category shall be further reserved on merit-cum-priority in each category horizontally for candidates with benchmark disabilities in accordance with the provisions of the right of person with Disability Act 2016.
  • Physically handicapped candidates are required to Produce and enclose a copy of Physical Disability Certificate issued by Medical Board duly constituted by the Central/State Government at the time of counseling.
  • Out of 25 seats of Govt. College of Nursing, Jaipur, 10 seats are reserved for inservice regular and eligible employees of Government of Rajasthan. Out of these 10 seats, 5 seats are reserved for in-service teachers and 5 seats are reserved for Clinical areas of State Government.

 

Tentative Seat Matrix (2023-24)

  • Admission for the session 2023-24 will be considered in the colleges after finalization of the list of colleges by RUHS.
  • Out of 25 seats of Government College of Nursing, Jaipur, 10 seats shall be reserved for inservice regular and eligible employees of Government of Rajasthan. Out of these 10 seats, 5 seats shall be reserved for in-service nursing teachers and 5 seats shall be reserved for nursing personnel working in Clinical areas of State Government.

 

Application Process

  • Refer RUHS website ruhsraj.org for uploaded and relevant Information. Before filling the on-line application form, read the information booklet and instructions for filling on-line application form etc. very carefully. Ensure the eligibility and other requirements for admission as given in this booklet.
  • You should be very careful in filling-up the on-line application form. If any lapse is detected during the scrutiny, your candidature will be rejected even if you come through the final stage of admission process or even at a later stage.
  • If a candidate fills two or more on-line application forms, the last filled and completed application form will be considered for further processing.

 

Application Fees

  • All candidates have to pay non-refundable on-line application form fee of Rs.3000/- (Rs.1500/- for SC/ST and PH Category candidates) + e-Mitra service charges as per Govt. rules at any e-Mitra authorized by the Government of Rajasthan or using http://emitra.gov.in/
  • The on-line application form fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and non adjustable.

 

Entrance Exam

  • The entrance exam (computer based) of 120 minutes duration in English language will be conducted (at the examination center) at Jaipur only. The details of the admission test will be available at the websites.
  • The syllabus for the entrance examination is available at the RUHS website. There shall be 120 objective type questions. Following subjects shall be included in the M.Sc. Nursing Entrance Examination:
  • (l) Applied Biological Sciences: (1A) Anatomy, (1B) Physiology, (1C) Biochemistry, (1D) Microbiology (1E) Pathology (2) Nursing Foundation (3) Nutrition (4) Applied Social Sciences (4A) Sociology (4B) Psychology (5) Medical Surgical Nursing including Pharmacology (6) Obstetrical & Gynecological Nursing (7) Child Health Nursing (8) Psychiatry & Mental Health Nursing (9) Community Health Nursing (10) Nursing Education (l1) Nursing Administration (12) Research Methodology and Statistics
  • Each question shall have four options to answer, out of which only one shall be correct. (+1) mark shall be awarded for each correct answer, (0) mark for an incorrect answer or unattempted questions. There shall be no negative marking.
  • Admit cards with relevant instructions shall not be sent by post and will be available for downloading at the RUHS website.
  • Note: For the entrance test, separate instructions / guidelines will be provided to the candidates through newspapers / website etc.

 

Admission Procedure 

  • The admissions shall be made strictly in accordance with the merit list prepared on the basis of score of the admission test and the order of choices / options filled in by the candidates in the on-line application form. The candidates are advised to exercise their choices / options very carefully.  

 

Allotment of College and Course

  • The allotment of college and course shall be made by strictly following the order of merit, seats available in each college and the priority of choice/option of the college and the course filled in by the candidate in the on-line application form.
