Eligibility Criteria for Rama Devi Women’s University B.Ed. Admission 2019

  • The candidate must fulfil all the eligibility conditions given below:
  • The candidate must be an Arts / Science Graduate. General candidates should have at least 50% marks in aggregate in the Bachelor’s Degree examination or in the Master’s Degree (For Arts and Science students only) in concerned Science / Social Science / Humanity subject. SC, ST, SEBC and PwD candidates should have 45% of marks in aggregate in the Bachelor Degree examination or in the Master’s Degree in the concerned subject.
  • The candidate should have passed Graduation with at least two school subjects of minimum 200 marks each; OR
  • Candidates having Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.Tech.) with specialization in Science and Mathematics (as per AICTE syllabus) are eligible to apply with 55% marks in aggregate for General candidates and 50% marks in aggregate for SC, ST, SEBC and PwD candidates. All B.Tech. students shall be considered under PCM Category. The students passing B.Tech. as a Lateral Entry candidates are not eligible to apply for the course.
  • For the Arts Graduate candidates: The candidates applying for Arts category must have studied at least two (02) school subjects of 200 marks each at their Graduation level. The candidates having any two language subjects at their Graduation level cannot claim as having two school subjects. All the language subjects viz. English / Odia / Hindi/ Sanskrit studied as compulsory / pass/honours/electives shall be treated as one subject.
  • For becoming eligible for B.Ed. Course, Language subject is not compulsory, if the candidate does not want a reservation of seats in either English or Odia. The candidates must have studied two (02) school subjects from the following: English / Odia / Hindi / Sanskrit, History, Geography, Economics, Indian Economy, Political Science, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography, Indian Polity, Mathematics, Public Administration (of 200 marks each).
  • N.B: The Candidates having English / Odia / Sanskrit / Hindi subjects either as pass, honours or elective must have studied another school subject as mentioned above besides the language subjects.
  • For the Science Graduate candidates: The Science graduate candidates should have passed graduation with two school subjects (with not less than 200 marks each) out of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Geography and Bio-technology.
  • N.B.: The Candidates claiming reservation for PCM subject must have studied all the concerned subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of minimum 200 mark each.

 
Age Limit

  • The age limit as on date: 30-06-2019
  • For all Women Candidates (General/ SC/ ST/SEBC): 33 years (She should not have been born before 30-06-1986)
  • For all Women Candidates (PwD Candidates): 38 years (She should not have born before 30-06-1981)

Admission & Selection Procedure

  • Selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of aggregate percentage of total marks from HSC/ 10th to Graduation as per NCTE guideline. Each applicant shall get a score on the basis of her aggregate percentage of marks from HSC to Graduation. For example, percentage of marks in each class will be treated as a score such as: 10th aggregate: 80%, +2 aggregate: 80% and +3 aggregate: 80%, total score will be 240). Accordingly, merit list shall be prepared.
  • In case of a tie, the higher percentage of marks at the Graduation level shall be taken into consideration. If the marks at Graduation become tie, who is born earlier will be considered first in merit.

 
Reservation of seats

  • Total seats in each category shall be distributed between Arts and Science discipline on 50:50 basis. Out of 50% of Science seats, there will be 25 % of reservation in both PCM and Other Science subjects. The students having Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (200 marks each) subjects at the Graduation level shall only be considered eligible for PCM Category.
  • Out of the 50% seats for Arts candidates, reservation of seats shall be made for students having English Honours and Odia Honours at Graduation level @ 7.5% each. Rest 35% seats in Arts shall be for Other-Arts subjects.

  • Application Fee: Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) Only
  • Candidates are advised NOT to use mobile phones for filling up Online eAdmission form in order to avoid possible mistakes, otherwise University will NOT be responsible for those wrong entries.

 
Pre-Registration Requirement

  • The Following documents must be made ready before starting the Application process.
  •  Scanned copy of your recent passport size photograph in JPG Format and size must be 30 to 100 kb. Scanned copy of your signature in JPG format and size must be 30 to 100 kb.

 
Registration Process:

  • Step1: For Registration, the candidate should have a valid & active Mobile Number and also have a valid & active e-mail ID.
  • Step2: For registration please click http://rdwuniversity.nic.in/candidate-registration.html (New User Registration) and provide the relevant data in appropriate fields.
  • This will take you to the Registration page
  • Select Course Applied for from the dropdown list.
  • Select Stream from the Stream dropdown list.
  • In the Name field write your Full Name as per your HSC (10th) certificate.
  • Enter a valid & active Mobile Number and email ID, which will be registered for the entire admission process.

 
Payment Procedure:

  • Payment of Application fee can be done through MAKE PAYMENT link . Payment can be done online through Net Banking/ Debit Card using SBI E-Pay.
  • After making a successful payment you will receive Login ID & password on your Mobile Phone and email ID immediately.In case you have not received the same, e-mail may be sent indicating your Application ID and Date of payment of application fee to [email protected]
  • After getting Login ID and password please visit to candidate-login to fill up the prescribed application form.

Submission of Hard Copy:

  • Mere submission of form online does not complete the application process. The candidate have to submit the Print out of filled in online application form along with relevant documents and a copy of e- receipt at the University Counter before the last date.
  • The applicants are required to send the hard copy of application form ( print out) along with all the required documents by Registered post/speed post only in an A4 size envelope addressed to The “Chairperson, PG Council,” Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhoi Nagar, Bhubaneswar,751022, Odisha  so as to reach the University office on or before 13.07.2019. by 4 PM.

Fee Structure

  • Admission Fee and other Charges: Rs. 3,235/-
  • Course Fee for B.Ed. Arts Category: Rs. 40,000/- per year
  • Course Fee for B.Ed. Science Category: Rs. 45000/- per year
  • At the time of admission, the candidate has to submit two separate Demand Draft in favour of Comptroller of Finance, Rama Devi Women’s University payable at Bhubaneswar.
