Periyar University announces Admission to MPhil and PhD Program for July 2020 July Session

 
 

Periyar University MPhil PhD Admission 2020 –  Periyar University invites applications from interested candidates for admission into MPhil and PhD admission Program through Entrance Test for July Session of the academic year 2020-21. Application for the same can be submitted online till July 10, 2020.

Eligibility Criteria for  Periyar University MPhil PhD Admission 2020
  • Candidates should have obtained a Master’s Degree with not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent grade.
  • For the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non-creamy layer)/Differently abled and those who have qualified for the Master’s degree before 19th September 1991 the minimum eligibility marks shall be 50% in their Master’s degree.
  • The candidates who are studying Post Graduate programmes and cleared all papers up to III semesters are eligible to apply for M.Phil/PhD Programmes.
  • Candidates can register under the following categories:
a) Full Time (with or without stipend or fellowship)
b) Part Time (teacher or non-teacher; internal vis-à-vis external)
c) Research Fellows/Research Assistants/Technical Assistants/ Project Assistants/Training Officers in Extension Departments approved by the University, appointed in the Research Projects funded by recognized Agencies/ Government are also eligible to register for Ph.D. on a full time basis in the same department provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria laid down.
d) Independent Research without Supervisor

For SC/ST and Differently-abled candidates Rs. 250/-
For General and all other candidates Rs. 500/

Selection Process
Selection will be based on Written Test and Interview.

Admit Card
Candidates can download their Hall tickets from the portal using their application number, Mail-Id and date of birth.
