PDM University Bahadurgarh announces Admission to PhD Program 2019 (Full Time & Part Time)

PDM University PhD Admission 2019 – Online Applications are invited for Admission to Full Time and Part Time PhD Programs in PDM University under various disciplines for the academic session 2019. Admission to the PhD Programs will be made through Admission Test and Interview.

Duration

  • Full-time Scholars: Minimum 3 years Maximum 6 years
  • Part-time scholars: Minimum 4 years Maximum 6 years
  • Extension beyond this will be considered on case to case basis under the provision of relevant statutes/rules
  • Women scholars and person with disability (more than 40% disability) may be given a relaxation of two years for Ph.D. in the maximum duration. In addition, women scholars may be provided Maternity Leave/Child Care Leave once in the entire duration of PhD Program, for up to 240 days

  • Last Date for Submission of Applications: 16th December 2018
  • Date of Entrance Test: 22nd December 2018
  • Declaration of Merit List: 28th December 2018
  • Interviews / Admissions: 02nd January to 05th January 2019
  • Commencement of Classes: 10th January 2019

Eligibility Criteria for PDM University PhD Admission 2019

  • A candidate seeking admission in the PhD program must have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in the concerned subject / allied subject at Master’s level
  • A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time
  • Candidates whose Master’s final year result is yet to be declared can also apply for admission. But their admission would be subject to their meeting the minimum eligibility criteria after their final qualifying exam results is declared by a date specified

Selection Procedure

  • A candidate will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance exam. A candidate, who has qualified CSIR (JRF) / UGC (NET)/ SET/JEST/GATE/GPAT or has passed M Phil full time regular degree shall be exempted from PhD Entrance Test.

Entrance Test

  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Maximum Marks: 100
  • Medium of the test: English
  • The paper will consist of two sections each containing 50 objectives (multiple choice questions (MCQs)). Section I will consist of MCQs based on research methodology while Section II will consist of questions from the subject
  • Qualifying marks: 50

PDM University PhD Admission 2019 Application Procedure

  • Candidates are required to apply online after ensuring eligibility conditions at cdn.digialm.com
  • Duly filled all relevant details on the online application form as per guidelines. Upload your recent passport size photograph and copy of signature on the application form
  • After submission of the application form online, the system will generate an application number. The application number along with auto generated password will be mailed to your registered mail address Candidates are advised to take two copies of the printout
  • One copy to be submitted at the time of Final Admission, the second one to be retained by the applicant

Application Fee

  • The Application Fee for Current Year Admission is INR 2000. The Application Fee payment can be made in one of the following modes:
  • Online Payment [using Credit Card/Debit Card & Netbanking]
  • Payment through scratch card: Scratch Card can be obtained from PDM Campus.
