Courses

Educational Qualifications

 

For Masters’ Programs

B.Sc. (Ag.)/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Agril./ B.Sc. (Hort.)/ B.Sc. Bhubaneswar (Hons.) Hortl./ B.V.Sc.& A.H./ B.Tech.(Agril.Engg.) from Universities recognized by the State / Central Government.

Candidates must have passed Bachelor degree examination secured at least 60% marks for General Category, whereas for SC/ST/PWD/ Kashmiri Migrant/ Kashmiri Pandit (Non-Migrants) / Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) categories the requirement is 50% marks.

For Ph.D. Programs

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree secured OGPA of 7.00 in 10-point scale or 65% marks from Universities recognized by the State / Central Government.

Domicile requirements

  • Those who have passed H.S.C./Equivalent Examination with Odia as M.I.L.) from any school/ institution of Odisha. need not submit the Residential Certificate.
  • Those who do not have Odia as M.I.L., but whose parents are permanent residents of Odisha must furnish evidence of such  permanent residency in the form of a certificate from the concerned Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahasildar or Additional Tahasildar / District Magistrate / their employer concerned.
  • Those who do not have Odia as M.I.L and whose parents are not permanent residents of Odisha, but serving under the Govt. of Odisha/ Central Govt./Public Undertaking or any University in the State of Odisha, such candidate must furnish a certificate to this effect from
  • the Head of the Office/Institution where his/her parent(s) is/are working

  • The candidates desirous of admission into Master’s/Doctoral programme for Agril. and Allied subjects may visit OUAT Website “www.ouat.nic.in” and http://ouat-lokaseba-odisha
  • The candidates seeking admission into Master’s/ Doctoral Course Programs – 2020 in Agriculture and Allied subjects can apply online by visiting the OUAT website www.ouat.nic.in then go to the admission section and click on “Student login for online application for Post Graduate Course Program-2020 (Agril. & Allied Subjects)” or directly go to http://ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in between 13th August 2020 to 11th September 2020
  • The candidates are advised to be careful while filling in the online Application Form . The candidate is required to enter correct (a) personal information, upload full signature & passport size colour photograph and other information.
  • Before applying, the candidate should carefully read the Prospectus for eligibility conditions and other relevant information are available in the University website

Selection Procedure

  • The selection for admission into different Master’s or Doctoral programs will be based on merit of the candidates. There will be a common merit list for admission into the Master’s Program of a particular faculty. The merit list for admission into Doctoral Program will be prepared discipline wise and selection will be made on the basis of merit.
  • Merit list of the candidates for Master’s program shall be drawn up on the basis of total weightage derived from the entrance marks plus the weightage on extracurricular activities. The merit list for Doctoral program shall be drawn up on the basis of marks secured in entrance examination only.
