Eligibility Criteria for NSOU Kolkata PG & BLIS Admission 2020-21

School of Sciences

M.Sc. in Mathematics PGMT

Honours Graduate (10+2+3) in Mathematics.

M.Sc. in Geography *PGGR

Honours Graduate (10+2+3) in Geography.

M.Sc. in Zoology *PGZO

Honours Graduate (10+2+3) in Zoology

School of Humanities

M.A. in Bengali PGBG

Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in Bengali and passed successfully.

M.A. in English PGEG

Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in English and passed successfully.

M.A. in English Language Teaching

Graduate (10+2+3) with English/ Linguistics and have studied at least 300 marks in English/ Linguistics and passed successfully

School of Social Sciences

M.A. in History PGHI

Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in History and passed successfully.

MA in Political Science PGPS

Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in Political Science and passed successfully.

M.A. in Public Administration

PGPA Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University and have studied at least 300 marks in Public Administration / Political Science / Sociology /Economics and passed successfully.

School of Education

M.A. in Education PGED

Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University with Education and have studied at least 300 marks in Education and passed successfully or Other Graduate(10+2+3) with B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education- M.R./H.I./V.I.

School of Professional Studies

M.Com. PGCO

B.Com. / BBA Graduate (10+2+3) of any recognized University.

MSW

PGSW Graduate (10+2+3) with Social Work / Sociology / Political Science /History / Public Administration / Economics / Anthropology /Psychology / Philosophy / Human Development / Commerce and have studied at least 300 marks in any of the above mentioned subject or passed successfully LLB/BE/B.Tech. /B.Voc. (three-year) in Child Protection /Child Development from a recognized University

MLIS

Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) degree from a recognized University/ Other Graduate (10+2+3) with at least 300 marks of study in Library Science/ Library and Information Science/ Information Science

  1. Admission in any course is provisional subject to determination of eligibility by the University at the time of giving enrollment number.
  1. If any discrepancy is revealed later, responsibility will rest on the applicant and his/her admission will be cancelled and no claim for refund of fees will be entertained
  1. Students are, therefore, advised to satisfy themselves as regards their eligibility for a particular course before taking admission.

Course Duration

  1. Master of Library & Information Science and Bachelor of Library & Information Science are of 1-year duration (registration will be valid for 3 years). All Other Post Graduate courses are of 2-year duration (registration will be valid for 5 years)
