• The course depicts the fundamental concepts and methods in Bioinformatics, an emerging Interdisciplinary Field which is often considered a junction between biology and computational sciences

• The course explains why they can give us answers to fundamental biological questions important to fields such as Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Medical science.

• The total duration of the course is 1 year (2 semesters of 6 months each)

• Generally the theoretical classes commence at 10.30 A.M. The timings and lecture schedule may change under special circumstances

• English shall be the medium of instruction for all the subjects of study for examinations

Eligibility Criteria for NBU PG Diploma in Bioinformatics Admission 2020

• Candidates having B.Sc. (Hons.) /B.Tech. or Master’s Degree in any branch of Science

Age Limit

• For Admission, preference will be given to the candidate up to 28 years of age as on June 1 of the year

Seat Reservation

• Seat reservation as per the Govt. Rules. Other policies regarding admission will be as per the Admission policy of the University

NBU PG Diploma in Bioinformatics Admission 2020 Application Process

• Interested candidates may complete the Application form attached with the prospectus and send it along with requisite enclosures and bank draft or pay the amount in cash at the cash counter of the University.

• Complete application form should be sent along with a self-addressed envelope at – The Coordinator of Bioinformatics, University of North Bengal P.O. North Bengal University Raja Rammohunpur, Siliguri-734013 Dist. Darjeeling, PIN: 734013 (WB)

• Those intending to submit the application Form by downloading from NBU website www.nbu.ac.in are required to enclose a bank draft of Rs.150/- (General) and Rs.75/- (SC/ST/OBC) in favour of the University of North Bengal or pay the amount in cash at the cash counter of the university

• 150/- (One hundred fifty) for General Students and Rs.75/- for SC/ST/OBC students
