NITTE University PhD Admission 2023 – NITTE (Deemed to be University) invites online applications from the eligible candidates for admission to Full-Time or Part-Time programs of study leading to the award of a degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme offered in various faculties of the university for the Academic Year 2023

 

PhD Program offered in the Faculties of

  • Medicine (Pre clinical, Para clinical & Dentistry, Pharmacy , Physiotherapy Allied Health Science , Nursing, Biological Sciences, Speech & Hearing, Engineering, Commerce & Management, Applied Sciences, Business Administration and Humanities of the Nitte (Deemed to be University)

 

Important Dates

  • Last date for online application is 29th July 2023
  • Entrance Test will be held in the last week of August 2023

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have a master’s degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from a recognized university. Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree in engineering or pharmacy with a minimum of 75% marks (or equivalent CGPA) may also be considered for PhD admission in certain fields.

Relaxation in Eligibility Criteria

  • There is a relaxation of 5% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the minimum eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled categories.
  • Note: Candidates who are in the final semester of their master’s degree may also apply for PhD admission at NITTE. However, their admission will be provisional, and they must provide proof of their qualifying degree before the completion of the admission process.

Selection Procedure

  • Selection for the program will be based on an online entrance test (weightage 70%) and Interview including evaluation of Statement of Purpose weightage 30%). The Online Entrance Test of 75 minutes duration will consist of 70 Multiple Choice Questions of 1 mark each will include 35 MCQs from the General Research Aptitude and Analytical Thinking and 35 MCQs from the Faculty /discipline opted by the candidate
  • Candidates who score a minimum of 50% in the online entrance test will be eligible to be called for interview
  • The Entrance Test will be held in the l ast week of August 2023 followed by the personal interview at the University Details of online examination process and admission ticket will be sent to eligible candidates.
