About the LNCPE

  • Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education, Kariavattom, Thiruvananathapuram, which bears the name of Lakshmibai, Rani of Jhansi, the dauntless heroine of the First War of Independence, was established by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Dept. of Education on 17th August 1985
  • The college is located at the northern side of the Kariavattom Campus of the University of Kerala approximately 15 km from Thiruvananthapuram City on the National Highway 47

 

LNCPE Trivandrum BPEd Admission 2019 Important Dates

  • Last Date of Online Submission of Application Form up to 02nd May 2019
  • Online Application will open on 02nd May 2019
  • Online Application will close on 13th May 2019
  • Admission Test BPEd: 17th to 19th May 2019 08.00 am (Friday-Sunday)

Courses Offered

  • The college is affiliated to the University of Kerala and it offers the following course – Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) – 2 years (Approved by NCTE)
  • The course shall be full time residential and co-educational

 
Duration of Course

  • The duration of the course shall be two academic years with four semesters. A candidate must complete the course of study for the Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.E.d) and pass all papers in Part-A (Theory), Part-B (Practical Skills)

Eligibility Criteria for LNCPE Trivandrum BPEd Admission 2019

  • For admission to the B.P.Ed Course, the candidates shall fulfil the following conditions. Graduation with 45% marks and at least 3-years of Teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidate i.e. trained Physical Education Teachers/Coaches)
  • If a women student admitted to B.P.Ed. course gets married and is found medically unsuitable at any stage of the program, have to discontinue the program

 
Age Limit

  • Should be below the age of 25 years as on 01st July of the year of admission; Age relaxation will be given as per University rules to eligible categories.

 
No. of Seats

  • Total 50 Seats [Men – 30, Women – 20]
  • Note: Rank list shall be published separately for men and women. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC candidates shall be done as per rules of the State/Central Government whichever are applicable

 

Selection Criteria

  • The candidates shall be selected to the B.P.Ed. Course as per merit from the rank list, which will be prepared on the basis of the following four items of the selection criteria

 

LNCPE Trivandrum BPEd Admission 2019 Application Process

  • All eligible candidates desirous of seeking admission to BPEd Course should admit their application form duly filled in before the last date prescribed. The candidates will be formally called for admission tests on the dates prescribed through a call card/College Website www.lncpe.gov.in
  • Application form can be had from the Office of Lakshmibai National College Physical Education, Trivandrum on remittance of Rs.400/- or downloaded from website www.lncpe.gov.in and a DD sent for Rs.400/- drawn in favour of Principal, LNCPE payable at Trivandrum
  • Those who wish to obtain the application form by post shall send DD for Rs.500/- drawn in favour of Principal, LNCPE payable at Trivandrum with full postal address. Each application for admission must be made in the prescribed form downloaded from the College website or on attached with the hard copy of prospectus
  • Filled in application form should be sent to “The Principal SAI, LNCPE, Kariavattom. P.O, Thiruvananthapuram-695581”, Kerala State.
