Eligibility Criteria for Kerala University UG Admission 2020

Nativity

Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Candidates seeking admission to First Degree Programme will be categorized as Keralite and Non-Keralite.

Education  Qualifications

A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the State or an Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto.

A Pass in Higher Secondary Examination / 10+2 in Science stream (PCM/PCB) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

A pass in Higher Secondary or any other Examination accepted by the University as equivalent thereto with any subject combination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.

A pass in Higher Secondary Examination/Vocational Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Kerala or an Examination accepted by the Academic Council as equivalent thereto.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for admission to the UG programmes shall be as follows as on 1st June of the academic year.

For General / SEBC candidates – 23 years

For SC/ST candidates – 25 years.

Kerala University UG Admission 2020 Application Process

• Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website http://admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in

• Any candidate who wish to join First Degree Programme under the University of Kerala should compulsorily register online @ http://admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in

• The first step of the UG online registration process is generating application number and password. For this, the candidates have to click on the "Click here for Registration" button available in the UG page of the website www.admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in.

• After that, the candidate has to provide the minimum details like Exam Board, Register Number, Year of Passing, Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, Email id and Whether Differently Abled. After entering the required details, the candidate will be provided with a unique application number and password.

• Candidates are advised to read carefully and follow the instructions. Before applying for admission, the candidate is advised to ensure his/her eligibility as per the criteria laid down in the prospectus.

Admission Procedure

• Admissions to the seats to be filled by the University to the First Degree Programmes (except those specifically mentioned) are regulated on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
