Karnataka Folklore University notifies admission to PG, PG Diploma and Certificate Courses 2018

Karnataka Folklore University Admission 2018 – Karnataka Folklore University, Gotagodi invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to various Post Graduate Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate Courses at Main Campus and also at Regional Centres for Folklore Studies for the Academic year 2018-19

a) Janapada University Main Campus, Gotagodi

  • M.A: Folkloristics, Folklore, Folk Literature, Kannada and Folklore, Folk Arts, Folk Tourism, Journalism and Mass Communication, Tribal Studies, Tribal and Rural Women and Children Development, Women Studies, English (Considering Folklore and Translation), Economics (Rural), Sociology (Rural)
  • M.Sc.: Traditional Science and Technology
  • MBA: Rural and Tribal Management; Tourism and Travel Management (Date of Entrance Test will be informed later)
  • M.P.A: Performing Arts
  • M.V.A: Visual Arts
  • P.G. Diploma Courses: Folk Epic, Traditional Dairy Practices, Traditional Horticulture
  • M.S.W: Social Work (considering Folklore and Tribal Development)

Eligibility Criteria

 

  • The Information about Educational Qualification required for eligibility, application form, Admission Fee and other details can be obtained from ‘Prospectus’ or from www.janapadauniversity.ac.in

 

  • However, only a Kannada Version of the Prospectus (2016-17) is seen in the website
  • Those who have appeared for final year U.G. Degree Exams and waiting for the result also can apply. However, they have to submit a copy of statement of marks downloaded through internet soon after the announcement of results
  • Admissions will be provided to NRIs and Foreign students as per the University Regulations

Application Procedure & Fee

 

  • Application Form, Admission Fee and other details can be obtained from ‘Prospectus’ or from www.janapadauniversity.ac.in

 

  • The Fee for Prospectus and Application Form is Rs.300/- for General and Rs. 150/- for SC/ST/Cat-I students, subject to submission of Caste Certificates
  • Those who wants to get Prospectus and application forms through post have to pay the fixed fees through a Demand Draft purchased in favour of ‘Finance Officer, Karnataka Folklore University, Gotagodi’ and send the same to the ‘Registrar, Karnataka Folklore University, Gotagodi, Shiggaon Taluk, Haveri District, Karnataka-581205’ along with a self-addressed envelope duly fixing a stamp of Rs.60/-
  • The application forms downloaded from University Website can be submitted along with a Demand Draft for Rs.300/- for General, and Rs.150/­for SC/ST/ Cat-I students
  • It is mandatory to submit separate application forms to different courses. The application submitted for one course cannot be transferred to another course.
  • The filled in application should be submitted to the Registrar (Evaluation). The selected candidates should complete the process of admission before 31st July 2018
  • Those who want to have admission to Diploma and Certificate Courses run by Regional Centres for Folklore Studies at MM Hills, Joida, Mandya and Bidar can avail application forms from those centres also by submitting the fixed fees in the name of Finance Officer, Karnataka Folklore University
