Jadavpur University announces Admission to Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses in Indian and Foreign Language 2020

Jadavpur University Indian and Foreign Language Courses 2020 – Applications are invited for the following Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Courses in Indian and Foreign Languages offered by the School of Languages and Linguistics, Jadavpur University commence in late January 2020.

Courses Offered

Bengal; Hindi; Sanskrit; French; German; Spanish; Italian; Portugues; Korean; Japanese; Chinese; English
Note: For admission in Diploma Course, Degree in respective Certificate course is mandatory. For admission in Advance Diploma course, Degree in respective Diploma course is mandatory. Only in exceptional Cases, Candidates are allowed to take direct admission in the diploma and advance Diploma course.

Class Timing: Classes are held twice a week in the evening between 5 and 8 pm

Minimum qualification – High School Graduation (Class XII/ Higher Secondary/ or equivalent)

Fees Structure for Foreign Nationals (Developing Countries) $ 250 + 18 % GST
Fees Structure for Foreign Nationals (Developed Countries) $ 500 + 18 % GST

Diploma Course

Indian Nationals Rs.4000/-+ 100 + 18 % GST
Fees Structure for Foreign Nationals (Developing Countries) $ 200 + 18 % GST
Fees Structure for Foreign Nationals (Developed Countries) $ 400 + 18 % GST

Advance Diploma Course I & II

Indian Nationals Rs.4500/-+ 100 + 18 % GST
Fees Structure for Foreign Nationals (Developing Countries) $ 200 + 18 % GST
Fees Structure for Foreign Nationals (Developed Countries) $ 500 + 18 % GST

Functional and Communicative English

Indian Nationals Rs.2000/-+ 100 + 18 % GST
Fees Structure for Foreign Nationals (Developing Countries) $ 125 + 18 % GST
Fees Structure for Foreign Nationals (Developed Countries) $ 250 + 18 % GST

Admission Procedure

A list of selected Indian candidates and the Foreign Nationals will be posted on the University Website (http://www.jaduniv.edu.in/) on 5th January 2020.
Admission Procedures for the Indian & Foreign Nationals will be completed by 2nd week of January, except the foreign and outstation candidates. For the foreign and outstation candidates the date of admission can be adjusted keeping their visa and other logistic issues in mind on a case to case basis.
In any such cases, candidates are requested to send emails to the above mentioned email ID stating their tentative dates of arrival in the University for admission well in advance.
