Indian Institute of Crafts and Design Jaipur Admission 2024 – The Indian Institute of Crafts & Design (IICD), Jaipur has invited applications for admission to various UG and PG Degree Programs in Craft & Design for the Academic Year 2024 through an entrance test to be conducted on January 7, 2024. The Indian Institute of Crafts & Design, Jaipur was set up as an autonomous institute by the Government of Rajasthan in the year 1995 to act as a catalyst of change in the craft sector. Eligibility Criteria

  • The eligibility criteria for admission to various UG and PG degree programs in Craft & Design at IICD for the Academic Year 2024 are as following :

For Bachelor’s Program (B.Des.)

  • Should have completed 10+2 from a recognized board of education.
  • Students appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

For Masters Program (M.Des.)

  • Should have completed Graduates from Design and Architecture background.
  • Students appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

For Master of Vocation in Crafts and Design (M.Voc.)

  • Should have completed Graduates from non-design backgrounds.
  • Students who will be appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

 

Application Process

  • Eligible candidates can apply online only through the official website https://www.iicd.ac.in/ & https://www.iicd.ac.in/admission.php.
  • Before filling the registration form, carefully read the course information and the eligibility criteria.
  • Applicants are required to register themselves at the Online Application registration portal by giving a valid mobile number and an email address.
  • Upon successful registration, applicants are required to provide information about themselves and upload supporting documents. Once the application fee is successfully paid and application submitted, candidates will get a confirmation email in their registered email address.

Application Fee

  • For India and SAARC Nationals: Rs. 1,750/- (One Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty only)
  • For NRI/ other Foreign Nationals: Rs. 3500/- (Three Thousand Five Hundred only)
  • Mode of Payment : Online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking etc.

 

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based on Online Entrance Tests will be conducted in three parts, Part A – Question Paper of 30% weightage , Part B – Portfolio Submission of 50% weightage, and Part C- Personal Interview of 20% weightage.

 

Entrance Test

  • Entrance test will be conducted online in three parts :
  • Part A – Question Paper: A question paper will be emailed to the registered candidates along with the Admit Card. The candidates will be required to answer the questions in Word file/ PDF file and submit the same along with the Portfolio as per the schedule given.
  • Part B – Portfolio Submission : The portfolio should be a compilation of the candidate’s own creative work. Sketching, painting, embroidery, photography, models, explorations with materials, creative writing, etc. may be included in the portfolio.
  • The criteria for evaluation will be: creative ability and skills, observations and perceptions, synthesis and visual interpretation, interest areas, etc. Specifications with regard to the portfolio submission will be conveyed through the email along with the Question Paper.
  • Part C – Personal Interview: The personal interview will be conducted online. The schedule for the same will be intimated through the email. The interview panel will evaluate the individual personality.
