Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) Delhi announces M.S. in Diploma in Packaging Technology and B.Sc. in Packing Technology 2024

 

IIP Delhi MS and B.Sc Packaging Technology Admission 2024 – Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), Delhi invites applications for admission to 2 years full time M.S. in Packaging Technology and 4 years full time B.Sc. in Packing Technology Program (Affiliated by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) for the academic Session 2024. The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is a national apex body which was set up in 1966 by the packaging and allied industries and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, with the specific objective of improving the packaging standards in the country. The Institute is an autonomous body working under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce.

Eligibility Criteria

M.S. in Packaging Technology: 

  • A candidate seeking admission for the MS (Packaging Technology) should have passed the full time (not by correspondence or part time) Graduate degree examination in Science (12th +3 years degree entire 5 years in science only) with Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Microbiology or Biochemistry as the main subject or one of them as second subject in the three year degree or Agriculture / Food Science / Polymer Science or Engineering / Technology degree of a AICTE / recognized University with minimum second class. Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examinations can also apply.
  • Age Limit: Maximum Age 30 years as on 01.08.2024 (Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST)

 

B.Sc. in Packaging Technology:

  •  Passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology / Agriculture Science / Vocational Science Subjects. Candidates appearing in the final exam of the qualifying examinations can also apply.

 

Application Process

  • Candidates must read carefully the Instructions (including how to fill up the Application Form online) given in the Information Bulletin available on the GGSIPU Website. Candidates not complying with the Instructions shall be summarily disqualified.
  • The candidate should open the Webpage by clicking the Link available at University Website www.ipu.ac.in only (Candidates should not to use any other link for filling up the application form)

Step 1: Registration Form:

  • Go to the Candidate Activity Board. Click IPU Registration 2024  New Candidate Registration and register for the Online Registration Form. The candidate should supply the required details while filling the Online Registration Form and is also required to create User Id, PASSWORD. For subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to login directly with the created User Id and Password.
  • Note – Registration is a one-time activity. Candidates will be able to fill application forms for all eligible examination courses with the same User Id and Password.

Step 2: Application Form:

  • The Candidates can log in with the pre-created User Id and Password for completing the Application Form including filling up of personal details, choosing the Examination Cities (if applicable), providing the details of Educational Qualifications, and uploading the images and documents. Upload Scanned Images and documents as applicable (Please adhere to maximum file sizes that can be uploaded).
  • i. The recent photograph should be either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
  • ii. Scanned photograph, signature and bank cancelled cheque should be in JPG format (clearly visible).
  • iii. Scanned copy of the certificates should be in PDF Format (clearly visible).

Step 3: Fee Payment:

  • After completing Step 2, the candidates have to pay the requisite examination fee. The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, etc. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator. The registration fee paid for application shall not be refundable.

 

Selection Process

For B.Sc. in Packaging Technology: 

  • The admission is carried out by following the entrance examination through CUET (Section II : (Any one) 302 (Agriculture), 304 (Biology), 306 (Chemistry), 307 (Environmental Studies) , 308( Computer Science), 319 (Mathematics), 322 (Physics), Section III : General Test (code 501) and CET or rounds of counselling.

For MS in Packaging Technology

  • The admission to this Program will be done based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) which will be a written examination conducted by the GGS IP University as per its guidelines for CET, updated from time to time. A candidate seeking admission to the MS (Packaging Technology) will be required to appear in the written entrance examination which will comprise of multiple-choice questions. The syllabus for the written test is at the graduate level and the subjects include Physics, Chemistry Mathematics and Engineering. The merit list of selected candidates will be prepared based on the cut offs decided by the selection/admission committee of the University.
