Eligibility Criteria
For Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- General Candidates : Must have passed Mathematics and Physics with minimum 50% marks at 12th or equivalent in individual subjects.
- SC / ST / EWS/OBC Candidates (In Non-Creamy Layer) : Must have passed Mathematics and Physics with minimum 45% marks at 12th or equivalent in individual subjects.
- Training fee : The fee charged is INR 4.5 Lakh payable in three installments in three years.
- There is no other subsidy or relaxation in training fee available to any candidate including SC, ST, OBC and EWS.
- Food & Lodging : IGRUA is a fully residential institute having separate Hostels for Boys and Girls. Charges for Food and Lodging is approximately Rs. 10,000/- per month).
- Age limit : Minimum 17 years at the time of joining
For Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
- Age limit : 17 years & above at the time of joining
- General Candidates : Must have passed English, Maths & Physics with minimum 50% marks at 10+2 or equivalent in individual subjects.
- SC / ST / EWS/OBC Candidates (in Non-Creamy Layer) : Must have passed English, Maths & Physics with minimum 45% marks at 10+2 or equivalent in individual subjects.
- Marital Status: Single/UNMARRIED
- Minimum height: 158 cm
- Maximum age: General Candidates 28 years, OBC 31 years and 33 years for SC/ST candidates(as per GoI Rules) on last date of application.
Note :-
- i) In case SC/ST/EWS and OBC candidates do not qualify even after 5% relaxation in the Entrance Written test, the seats would be de-reserved for General Category.
- ii) Candidates can also opt for B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree, being conducted simultaneously with CPL Course. Duration of this course will be 03 years. As of now 40 seats.
- iii) Candidates awaiting result for 2024 Class 12 Examination can also apply but they have to produce pass result with requisite marks in the subjects mentioned in para3 above, at the time of Interview / Aptitude Test.
- iv) IGRUA has a tie up with FSTC for Type training on (A320/B737/ATR-72/Q-400) at their Gurugram or Hyderabad centers. It is mandatory for candidates who wish to undergo this particular training to indicate the same at the time of filling up the form for entrance exam.
Medical :
- Candidates must be at least 158 cm in height. Selected candidates may join with class II medical, however they will have to clear & submit Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate subsequently. Please Click here for List of Centers/Doctors for Class-I & II medical available at DGCA Website
Training fee :
- (i) Rs. 45 Lacs payable in four quarterly installments in one year.
- Additional expenditure for about Rs. 2.5 Lac towards cost of Uniform, Navigation Computer, Head Phones, etc. The training fee and other expenditure is same for all category candidates. E-Books of EASA from Pad Pilot will be made available. Candidates are to bring Tablet or Laptop for this purpose. - (ii) Candidates who opt for CPL with Type Training on aircraft mentioned above will have to pay the following additional fee for Type Training to FSTC directly –
- a) A 320 or B 737 – Rs. 17.00 Lakhs
- b) ATR – 72 or Q – 400 – Rs. 19.00 lakhs
Boarding & Lodging :
- Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls. Messing and hostel accommodation is provided. (Charges approximately Rs. 15,000/- per month).

Application Fee
- For AME Course: Rs. 2,000/- (for General, OBC and EWS candidates)
- For CPL Course: Rs. 12,000 (for General, OBC and EWS candidates)
- Mode of Payment : Online through internet banking, debit or credit cards
Selection Process
AME
- ONLINE Computer Based Test, and Viva/Interview in the following manner:-
- Written Test : At allotted centers on 03 JUNE 2024
- Examination Centers : Please check Options for centers. Option for three centers is to be made giving first, second and third choice.
- IGRUA reserves the right to cancel any Center if numbers of Applicants for the Center are inadequate.
- Syllabus for Online Test : General English, Maths, Physics, Reasoning & Current Affairs (10+2 level objective type questions only and No negative marking)
- Qualifying Marks in written Test : The cutoff marks for SC/ST/EWS/OBC candidates will be 5% less from the cutoff marks secured by the last candidate in the General category. Only successful candidates in Online Entrance Test shall qualify for Interview/Viva.
- Interview / Viva : All short listed Candidates will be required to produce following documents in original as well as one photocopy of each document at the time of interview ( starting from 16 JULY 2024 )
- Proof ofDate of Birth ( Birth Certificate/ 10th Class certificate )
- (10+2 Mark sheet
- Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS Candidates issued within last one year.
- A Certificate from the competent Authority that the OBC Candidate does not belong to Creamy layer.
- A Certificate from an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar that the candidate falls under EWS category.
