GBPUAT Admission 2024 – Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Pantnagar (Uttarakhand) invites applications for admission to UG, Master’s & PhD Programmes for the academic session 2024-25 through Entrance Exam

Eligibility Criteria

 

UG Course

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture : Intermediate Agriculture/Science with Mathematics or Biology or equivalent examination and should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category and 47.5 % for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST).
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science : Intermediate Agriculture/Science with Mathematics or Biology or equivalent examination and should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category and 47.5 % for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST).
  • B. V. Sc. & A.H. : Intermediate Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or equivalent examination and should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category and 47.5% for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST) in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. 
  • For Candidates educated abroad – The students who are educated abroad seeking admission in Veterinary colleges in India should have passed the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English up to the 12th Standard level with 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects.
  • B.F.Sc. : Intermediate Science with Biology or equivalent examination and should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category and 47.5 % for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST).
  • B.Tech. (Food Technology) : Intermediate Science with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM)/ Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)/Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (PCMB) or equivalent examination and should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category and 47.5 % for reserved categories (OBC, SC & ST).
  • B.Tech. (Biotechnology) : Intermediate Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM)/Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB)/Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (PCMB) or equivalent examination. Obtained atleast 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subject taken together.
  • B.Tech. Agril. Engg./ B.Tech. Civil Engg. / B.Tech. Computer Engg. / B.Tech. Elect. Engg. / B.Tech. Electronics & Communication Engg. /B.Tech. Mech. Engg. /B.Tech. Industrial and Production Engg./ B.Tech. Information Technology : Pass 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject alongwith one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject/Computer Science/Information Technology / Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/Business Studies.
  • Obtained atleast 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subject taken together.

 

Master’s Course

  • M.B.A : Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination from any of the Universities recognized by the AIU UGC or AICTE failing which the provisional admission will be cancelled.
  • UG candidates who are waiting for the final result also can apply by clicking “Final Result Awaited” and upload a self-undertaking that he/she will furnish a certificate to institute at the time of the personal interview.
  • M.B.A. (Agribusiness) : Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Chemicals, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Science/ Technology, Fisheries, Food Science/ Technology, Forestry, Home-Science/ Community Science, Horticulture, Veterinary Science or B. Tech (Biotechnology). 
  • MCA  : BCA/B.Sc. with Mathematics from a recognized University/B.Sc. (Information Technology)/ B.Sc. Computer Science

 

PhD Program

  • Masters’ Degree or equivalent in concerned disciplines with 55% marks.
  • At Master’s level only a relaxation of 5% marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, will be allowed to those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled categories of candidates.

Application Process

  • Only ONLINE application form procedure is available. To submit application form candidates should log on to the portal: www.gbpuat.org.in of the University.
  • The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination may also apply provided they upload scanned copy of their marks-sheet at the time of online counselling failing which their candidature will not be considered for online counselling or seat allotment. 

 

Application Fee

  • For General/OBC : Rs. 1200.00
  • For SC/ST/PH : Rs. 600.00

 

Admission Procedure

  • All admissions shall be made strictly on merit as determined on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Examination to be conducted by University.
  • Admission to MBA/ MBA (Agribusiness) and Ph.D. (Management) shall be made through CAT/CMAT scores.
