NTR University of Health Sciences announces Admission to BAMS BHMS & BNYS Courses 2019-20 under Competent Authority Quota

NTRUHS BAMS, BHMS, BNYS and BUMS Admission 2019 – Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, invites online applications for admission into BAMS, BHMS, BNYS & BUMS Courses in all the Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani and Naturopathy Medical Colleges affiliated to Dr.NTR UHS for the academic year 2019-20 under Competent Authority Quota seats i.e., the seats in Government Ayurveda, Homoeopathy & Unani Colleges and Competent Authority Seats in Private Unaided Non-Minority Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Naturopathy Medical Colleges under Dr. NTRUHS, Vijayawada.

NTRUHS BAMS, BHMS, BNYS and BUMS Admission 2019 Important Dates

  • Date of issue of Notification to apply for admission to BAMS, BHMS, BNYS & BUMS Courses: 21.06.2019
  • Availability of online Application form: 22nd June to 28th June 2019
  • Date of release of provisional merit position of all the candidates applied for: 30th June 2019
  • Dates of verification of original certificates: To be notified
  • Date of release of final merit position after verification of original certificates: To be notified
  • Dates of exercising web options for admission into BAMS, BHMS, BNYS & BUMS courses: To be notified

 

No. of seats under competent authority quota:

  • Total number of seats expected for the academic year 2019-20 in BAMS/BHMS/BNYS and BUMS Courses at Government and Private Colleges affiliated to University under Competent Authority Quota i.e., the seats remaining after contributing 15% of seats to the National Pool (AIQ) (including the Government of India Nominee seats) in Government Ayurveda and Homoeopathy Medical Colleges and Competent Authority Quota seats in Private Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and Naturopathy Medical Colleges will be displayed before the counseling. However, the number of seats in the affiliated colleges in 2018-19 is in the Annexure-I. Fee structure “if any” as fixed by the Government will be notified later.
  • In case any new BAMS, BHMS, BUMS & BNYS seats are permitted by Ministry of AYUSH are affiliated to the University for the Academic Year 2019-20, those seats will be filled up.

 

Eligibility Criteria for NTRUHS BAMS, BHMS, BNYS and BUMS Admission 2019

  • The candidates who secured the cutoff marks and more in The NEET UG 2019 conducted by national testing agency and Fulfilled the following criteria are eligible for admission into BAMS, BHMS, BNYS & BUMS courses and they have to get Their certificates verified as per schedule to be notified by the University.
  • The candidate should be an Indian National or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) /Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holder and should satisfy the Local or Non-local status in Andhra Pradesh

 

For BAMS/BNYS Courses:

  • The candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognized by the concerned State Government and Education Board with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of fifty per cent. marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the aforesaid qualifying examination in the case of general category and forty per cent. Marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes.

 

For BHMS courses:

  • The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the qualifying Examinations mentioned above for OC candidates and 40 per cent marks in respect of SC/ST/BCs; or
  • The intermediate examination in science of an Indian University or Board or other  recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject; or
  • The pre-professional or pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination, or the pre-university or an equivalent Examination, which shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and also English as a compulsory subject; or
  • The first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognized University, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course; or
  • Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian University or Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English as a compulsory subject;

 

For BUMS Course

  • Candidates seeking admission into BUMS should have passed
  • Eligibility for admission as per regulations of Central Council of Indian medicine, dated 25-06- 2013, 02-05-2016 & 07.12.2018.
  • Admissions to Kamil-E-TIB-Wa-Jarahat course: A candidate seeking admission to main Kamil-E-Tib-Wa-Jarahat (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery –B.U.M.S.) Course must have passed.
  • Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognized by the concerned State Government and Education Board with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum fifty per cent. marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the aforesaid qualifying examination in the case of general category and forty per cent. marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes:
  • Provided that the candidate must have passed the 10th standard with Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as a subject, or clear the test of Urdu of 10th Standard (wherever there is provision to conduct of such test) in the entrance examination conducted by the University or Board or registered Society or Association authorized by the Government to conduct such examination.

 

Age Limit

  • The Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on the 31-12-2019 for all courses
  • The candidates born on or after 02-01-2003 are not eligible for admission into BAMS/BHMS/ BUMS/BNYS Course.
  • Note: A person born on 1st January, of a year will complete one year on 31st December of the same year. Age shall be calculated on the basis of date of birth as indicated in the Secondary School Certificate examination or equivalent examination. No request for relaxation of age of a candidate shall be entertained.

 

Minimum Qualifying Score in NEET UG – 2019:

  • The candidates should secure the following cutoff scores in National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test (NEET) UG -2019, conducted by National Testing Agency, New Delhi as per section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
  • General category – 50th Percentile
  • Cut off score (out of 720) – 134
  • Remarks: Candidates scoring equal to or more than this cut-off score have been declared as qualified.
  • SC/ST/BC  – 40th Percentile
  • Cut off score (out of 720) – 107
  • Remarks: SC/ST/BC candidates scoring equal to or more than this cut-off score have been declared as qualified.
  • Persons with Disability (BC/SC/ST) – 45th Percentile
  • Cut off score (out of 720) – 120
  • Remarks: OBC/SC/ST-PH candidates scoring equal to or more than this cut-off score have been declared as qualified.
  • Persons with Disability (OC) – 45th Percentile
  • Cut off score (out of 720) – 120
  • Remarks: OC-PH candidates scoring equal to or more than this cut-off score have been declared as qualified.

 

Reservation

  • Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to the local area as provided in A.P. Educational Institutions

NTRUHS BAMS, BHMS, BNYS and BUMS Admission 2019  Application Process

  • The online application form for determining merit position for Competent Authority quota seats through NEET UG 2019 scores will be available on the website https://apmedadm.ntruhs.ap.gov.in 22.06.2019 from 11.00 AM to 28.06.2019 5.00 PM
  • The candidates are advised to take a printout of the Prospectus / Instructions to fill the application from the website http://ntruhs.ap.nic.in or from https://apmedadm.ntruhs.ap.gov.in before proceeding to fill the application form.
  • The candidate should fill the online application form available in the Website with the data required-for, through internet. The online application form can be filled through any computer with an internet connection (home/internet café/net center). The candidate is advised to fill the online application form after going through the Prospectus by keeping all the Certificates ready to enter his/her correct data.

 

Keep all the following documents required:

  • Admit card of NEET UG – 2019
  • Rank card of NEET UG-2019
  • SSC or equivalent examination containing the Date of Birth Certificate.
  • The fee can be paid through Debit card / Credit card or Net Banking
  • The fee paid by the applicant is not refundable and not adjusted to a future date under any circumstances.

 

Registration and Verification Fee:   

  • The registration and verification fee is Rs. 3540/- (Including GST) plus Bank charges extra for OC/BC categories and Rs.2950/- (Including GST) plus Bank charges extra for SC/ST categories.
  • The candidate should sign at the declaration area in the printout of the online application form. The candidates need not submit Printout of Application by post/by hand to the University.
