CMC Vellore MS Bioengineering Admission 2024 – Christian Medical College (CMC Vellore invites application for admission to MS program in Bioengineering for the academic session 2024. The MS Bioengineering at CMC-Vellore is a unique postgraduate engineering program in India. It imparts training in engineering analysis, design, prototyping, and evaluation for solving problems in healthcare within a multi-faceted top ranked medical institution in India. The aim of the course is to bring some of the best global practices in biomedical engineering R&D to address healthcare problems in India. MS Bioengineering program is a 2 year program with a strong emphasis on research. Students undergo a year of course work, followed by a year of research projects.

Eligibility Criteria for CMC Vellore MS Bioengineering Admission 2024

  • Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Candidates must have written GATE in the last 5 years.

 

Application Process

  • Candidates must download the application form from link https://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in/
  • The application forms shall reach the exam authorities before the last date because the forms received after the last date shall not be considered.
  • The application form must be downloaded attached along with this bulletin and duly filled-in.
  • Candidates must affix a recent passport size photo, taken not less than 6 months back, on the space provided on the application form.
  • The Application & Registration fee is Rs. 1,500/- The candidates applying from SAARC countries should send Rs. 2,500/- or its equivalent and those from other foreign countries US dollars 100 or its equivalent. Payment is only through challan at any branch of ICICI Bank.
  • Please use the attached ICICI challan to pay the fee.
  • Filled-in application with necessary documents and paid ICICI challan should reach the Office of Registrar, Christian Medical College, Bagayam, Vellore-632002, South India on or before the last date mentioned in the Admission Time Table. Applications received after the last date will not be considered. Office of the Registrar is not responsible for any postal delay

 

Application Fee

  • Application & Registration Fee: Rs.1300/-
  • Candidates who are applying from SAARC countries are required to send Rs. 2500/-.
  • After filling the application form, candidates have to attach the scanned copy of Mark sheets, Degree certificates and GATE score card copy and sent to The Registrar, CMC, Vellore 632 002. OR Candidates can send it by mail to registrar@cmcvellore.ac.in.

 

Selection Process

  • After submitting the application form, candidates are issued a call letter. Call letter will be available on the official website
  • Candidates have to carry it at the time of examination. Selection of the candidate is done on the following basis – medical checkup, written test and interview
  • Candidates who will qualify the interview round will be processed for the interview
  • Then, the selected candidates have to submit the course fee.
  • The selection of candidates for MS Bioengineering course will be according to the directives of the CMC Vellore Council. Fifty percent of seats are reserved for Minority Network candidates, provided they fulfill other criteria for eligibility for admission.

 

Syllabus for Written Test

The syllabus for the MS Bioengineering written test is as follows: 

  • Basic Physics: Newtonian Mechanics, Work, Energy and Power, Gravitation, Oscillations and Waves, Thermodynamics, Basic Electromagnetics, Optics. 
  • Basic Mathematics: Set Theory, Functions, Limits, Differential and Integral Calculus, Differential Equation, Complex Numbers, Linear Equations, Vector Algebra, and Probability. 
  • Basic Human Biology: Cell structure and function. Cardiovascular System, Respiratory System, Skeletal System, Muscular System, and Nervous System. 
  • Basic Engineering: Statics, Basic Electrical Circuits, Basic Electronics, Operational Ampliϐiers, Basic C Programming, Signal and Systems, Control Theory
  • Aptitude. Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning.
