Eligibility Criteria

  • Accident & Emergency Medicine /Palliative Medicine: MBBS Degree
  • Advanced General Dentistry: BDS Degree and Completion of a 1-year Certificate in General Dentistry (CGD) program through the distance education department, CMC, Vellore

Note: 

  • Compulsory rotating residential internship and full registration before 15/07/2024
  • Those with a service obligation will need to have completed the same by 20/08/2024

 

Admission Test Options

  • Candidates applying for the Certificate course in Accident & Emergency Medicine and Palliative Medicine have to submit their NEET-PG 2024 score.
  • Candidates applying for Advanced Certificate Course in General Dentistry have to appear for Specialty paper – Advanced General Dentistry

 

Application Process

    • Application forms can be accessed ONLY online through the CMC website, http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in/ during the dates mentioned in Section-2 and submitted online with a basic administrative fee of Rs.1500/-
    • Candidates applying from SAARC countries should send Rs.2000/- or its equivalent and those from other foreign countries should send US dollars 100 or its equivalent.
    • Candidates applying from SAARC countries should send Rs.2000/- or its equivalent and those from other foreign countries should send US dollars 100 or its equivalent.
    • Money can be remitted by using any one of the following methods:
    • Online payment using payment gateway (credit or debit card / net banking)
    • As a challan at no extra cost at any branch of ICICI bank in India. A challan will be generated when filling payment details in the application form. Please mention FC- CMC-V on the challan
  • Kindly send the original challan by speed post / courier to this office before the date mentioned in section 2. Scanned copy of paid ICICI challan should be submitted by email attachment to [email protected]

General Instruction

  • Candidates must send self-attested, clear photocopies, where applicable, of:
  • Certificate of completion of bond obligation (applicable to those who previously had a service obligation with CMC or any other member of the Christian Medical College Vellore Association or Council and are serving / have served their service obligation) signed by the authorized signatory of the Minority Network Organization.
  • Proof of service, if served in an area of need. (If annexure 2 is filled, valid attested certification needs to be sent).
  • Proof of service of two years in one or more mission hospitals of any of the supporting bodies of this institution after graduation, for all Minority Network candidates.
  • Applicants employed in Government or similar establishments who have to route their applications through “proper channels” for the purpose of permission / leave, etc., are advised to submit an application as detailed above for the desired course, complete with all the required enclosures directly to Office of the Registrar before the closing date
  • A photocopy of the completed application may be routed through the “proper channels”. This would avoid rejection of the applications from such candidates due to receipt after the closing date on account of delays in various sanctioning offices.
  • All the required enclosures must reach the Office of the Registrar, Christian Medical College, Vellore-632002, on or before the dates mentioned in Section 2. Applications which lack any of the required enclosures will not be considered after the dates mentioned in Section 2.

 

Application Fee

  • No fee or donation or any other payments are accepted in lieu of admissions, other than what has been prescribed in the prospectus. The prospectus can be downloaded free from our website at http://www.cmch-vellore.edu/

 

Submission of NEET-PG 2024 Score

  • Candidates who have to submit their NEET-PG 2024 scores must sign in to the application site using their application number and date of birth and enter their NEET roll number and NEET scores at the link provided, after the announcement of the NEET-PG 2024 results as given in Admission time table-section 2.

 

Selection Process

  • The selection of candidates for the certificate courses will be according to the directives of the CMC Vellore Council. Fifty percent of the seats in each course are reserved for Minority Network category candidates, provided they fulfill other criteria for eligibility for admission
  • However, more than 50% of the available seats may be allotted to Minority Network category candidates based on their ranking in the selection test.
  • The waiting list is based on ranking in the selection tests. The first Minority Network category candidate on the waiting list will ordinarily fill vacancies arising by Minority Network category candidates not accepting a seat to make up 50% reservation for Minority Network category candidates
  • In the event that more than 50% of the seats in any course are filled by Minority Network category candidates and one of the Minority Network category candidates does not accept the seat, it will be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list by rank irrespective of whether he or she is a Minority Network category candidate or open
  • Please note that accommodation will not be available for candidates in the Hospital Annexe or any of the Institutional Guest Houses or Hostels during Step 1 & Step 2 of the selection process
  • Certificate Course in Advanced General Dentistry: Selection will be based on the Specialty papers in Advanced General Dentistry (Step 1) and Practical test and Interview (Step 2).
  • Certificate Courses in Accident & Emergency Medicine & Palliative Medicine: Selection will be based on NEET-PG 2024 score obtained by the candidate, depending on the candidate’s option in the application form (Step 1) and on the basis of Practical tests and Interviews (Step 2).

 

COMPUTER BASED TEST (CBT)

  • The test will be conducted at: Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Ernakulum, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Vellore & Vijayawada
  • CBT in Advanced General Dentistry will be a SPECIALTY paper consisting of multiple-choice questions in the specialty for which the candidate has applied and subjects allied to it.

 

Results

  • A list of candidates selected for admission will be put up on notice boards in the College and Town campuses and on the website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in
  • All selected candidates who wish to accept the Certificate Course seat offered, must give their acceptance in writing or by e-mail (scanned copy with signature) by the date and time stipulated in the Selection Notice.
