CEPT University Admission 2024 – Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology University (CEPT) Ahmedabad invites applications for admission to Undergraduate and postgraduate Programs for the academic year 2024.
About CEPT University
- CEPT University focuses on understanding, designing, planning, constructing and managing human habitats. Its teaching programs build thoughtful professionals and its research programs deepen understanding of human habitat. CEPT University also undertakes advisory projects to further the goal of making habitats more livable.
- The University comprises five faculties. The Faculty of Architecture was established in 1962. It focuses on design in the private realm. The Faculty of Planning, focused on planning in the public realm, was established in 1972. The Faculty of Technology, which concentrates on engineering and construction, was established in 1982. The Faculty of Design was established in 1992. It deals with habitat related interiors, crafts, systems, and products. The Faculty of Management was established in 2013 and it focuses on Habitat and Project Management.

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s in Design
- Applicants should have passed the qualifying examination (Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination) or its equivalent examination from any streams (Science, Commerce and Arts/Humanities), from Gujarat state board or any other State boards or CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/IB, with a minimum aggregate score of 50% for all subjects. OR
- Applicants should have passed the Diploma (10+3 pattern) of arts, applied arts, photography, animation, interior design, architecture, architectural assistantship, fashion technology, handloom technology, printing technology, ceramic technology, leather technology, civil, mechanical, production, automobile, with minimum 50% aggregate marks from Technical Board of Gujarat or any other state or from a college/university established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 will be eligible to apply for the program.
- All applicants must appear and qualify for the UCEED test to become eligible for BDES admissions.
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
- Passed 10+2 examination with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship (Any of the three)Obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together.From any board located in India.Should have appeared in JEE Mains Paper-1 or GUJCET
Master’s in Architectural History and Research / Master’s in Conservation and Regeneration
- For M.Arch. : B.Arch. degree recognized by the Council of Architecture. Minimum 50% aggregate marks for general category and 45% for reserved category.
- For M.A. : B.Tech (civil), B,Tech (structural) or equivalent, B.ID, B.UD, B.Plan, B.Des all minimum 4 years, B.Sc (building design), B.Sc (interior design), Bachelors in Archaeology all minimum 3 years. Minimum 50% aggregate marks for general category and 45% for reserved category.
Master’s in Architectural Tectonics / Master’s in Housing Design
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B. Arch) or equivalent recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 45% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates.
Master’s in Interior Design
- For M.Arch. : B.Arch. Degree in Architecture Recognized by The Council of Architecture (COA). Minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General category candidates and 45% aggregate marks for reserved categories candidates.
- For MID : Bachelor’s Degree (4 Years or more) in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Urban Design, or Product Design
- Diploma in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Product Design, (all minimum 12 + 4 years), provided that the Program is UGC approved and considered equivalent to a Degree Program by the Equivalence Committee of CEPT University
- Note: Minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General category candidates and 45% aggregate marks for reserved categories candidates from a UGC recognized university.
Master’s in Interior Design
- For M.Arch. B.Arch. Degree in Architecture Recognized by The Council of Architecture (COA). Minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General category candidates and 45% aggregate marks for reserved categories candidates.
- For MID : Bachelor’s Degree (4 Years or more) in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Urban Design, or Product Design

- Please register yourself before you go ahead.

Application Fee
- Application fee for Bachelor’s in Design will be Rs. 1500/- (inclusive of taxes).
- The application fee can be paid through Debit/Credit card, internet banking.
Admission Procedure
Bachelor’s in Design (BDES)
- Procedure for Admissions to Bachelor’s in Design (BDES) Program in Faculty of Design for the Academic year 2024-25
- Evaluation process:
- The evaluation will be done in three stages, as mentioned below:
- Stage 1 – Scrutiny for eligibility: All applications received will be scrutinized based on information provided/uploaded in the application forms. This scrutiny is to check whether the applicant meets the eligibility criteria. Only those applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and pass the scrutiny will be considered for Stage 2 (Merit list).
- Stage 2 – Preparation of merit list: All eligible applications will be examined, and marks tallied for 12th HSC or equivalent exam and the UCEED Score. Candidates will be selected based on the UCEED Score.
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
- Admission to Government Seats will be based on GUJCET
PG Program
- Admission will be based on the CEPT PG Test.
