Important Dates

 

  • Last date of submission of applications is : 12th August 2022
  • Research Entrance Test (RET) will be held : notified soon

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Masters degree in English Language with minimum 55% marks

 

Application Process

  • Application Form should be downloaded from the University website (https://www.caluniv.ac.in/) and the filled in form, along with relevant supporting documents, should be submitted to the Department of English (Teachers Room, Asutosh Building, 2nd floor) after payment of the fee at the CU cash counter/through SBI collect. The applications should reach the university in a sealed envelope, clearly stating “Application – PhD in English” on it. It should be addressed to the Head, Department of English.
  • The proper receipt of the amount paid must be attached to the form.
  • Any discrepancy will result in cancellation of application

 

Selection Process

  • The selection for admission will be based on Research Entrance Test (RET) and Interview. 
  • Candidates who have already passed M. Phil/ NET/SET need not appear for the written examination and can directly apply to appear for the interview.
