Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya PG and PhD Admission 2023 – Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya online applications are invited for admission to Master Degree and Doctoral Degree Programs for the session 2023-24. The admission will be done through an entrance exam to be held on 05th September 2023 and 14th September 2023 respectively at the University Campus at Mohanpur, Nadia (West Bengal).

Eligibility Criteria
For Master Degree Program
- Candidates must have passed the 4-year Bachelor Degree Exam in Agriculture/ Horticulture/Agricultural Eng. Securing Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.60/10.00 in 10-point scale, 3.25/5.00 in five-point scale, 2.60/4.00 in four-point scale for General & OBC categories, whereas for SC/ST/PH candidates the said requirement is an OGPA of at least 5.60/10.00, 2.75/5.00, or 2.20/4.00
- In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60 % marks for General and OBC categories, whereas for SC/ST/PH categories the requirement is 50 % marks
- Graduates of some other disciplines of Engineering are also eligible to apply in the respective departments, i.e. (1) Civil Engineering for the Dept. of Soil & Water Engineering, (2) Mechanical Engineering for the Dept. of Farm Machinery & Power, (3) Chemical/ Biochemical Engineering for the Dept. of Food Engineering
- Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary or equivalent exam (10+2) in General stream or Vocational stream securing at least 50 % marks in aggregate for General and OBC categories, whereas for SC/ST/PH categories the said requirement is 40 % marks
- However, for M. Tech. Admission, minimum marks accepted by WBJEE Board for admission to B. Tech. will be considered
- Candidates appeared in the final semester of under-graduate program are also eligible to apply
For Doctoral Degree Program
- Candidates must have passed 2-year Master degree examination in Agriculture/ Horticulture /Agricultural Engineering from a duly recognized University, following 4-year Bachelor Degree programme with relevant subjects, securing an Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.50/10.00 in ten-point scale, 3.25/5.00 in five-point scale, 2.60/4.00 in four-point scale for General / OBC/PH Category, whereas for SC/ST categories, the said requirement is an OGPA of at least 5.50/10.00, 2.75/5.00, or 2.20/4.00
- In other cases, where grade-points are not awarded and only marks are awarded, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks for General/OBC/PH Category, whereas for SC/ST candidates, the minimum percentage of marks is 50%
- Candidates passed 2-year Master Degree in cognate branches under traditional system and secured at least 60 % marks for General/OBC/PH and 50% for SC/ST candidates in aggregate in related discipline following a 3-year Bachelor Degree with Honours in concerned subject are also eligible
- In the Faculty of Agril Engineering, the candidates having M.Tech in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering after completing 4-years Bachelor Degree in Engineering are eligible for admission to PhD Program in the respective department as cognate branches of Agricultural Engineering
- Candidates must have passed the 4-year Bachelor Degree Exam in Agriculture/ Horticulture/Agricultural Engineering securing Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.60/10 in 10-point scale, 3.25/5.00 in five-point scale, 2.60/4.00 in four-point scale for General/OBC categories, whereas for SC/ST candidates said requirement is an OGPA of at least 5.60/10.00, 2.75/5.00, or 2.20/4.00

How to Apply – Application Process
- Apply online through the Viswavidyalaya Website www.bckv.edu.in and application fee is to be paid as per following rates following online or offline mode. Application fees once paid will not be refunded.
Application Fees
- For Masters Degree admission (General/OBC Category) – Rs. 1200/-
- For Masters Degree admission (SC/ST & PH) – Rs.600/-
- For Doctoral Degree admission (General/OBC Category) – Rs.1500/-
- For Doctoral Degree admission (SC/ST category) – Rs.750/-
Admit Card for Entrance Exam
- Candidates who shall be eligible for appearing in the Entrance Exam of M.Sc. & PhD Program to be held on 05th September to 14th September 2023 respectively are requested to bring the computer generated admit card along with two copies of duly attested passport size photograph.
- Candidates are advised to go through the Brochure of PG & PhD Program-for the academic session 2023-24 from the University website (www.bckv.edu.in) and submit the necessary Affidavit/ Declaration/ Undertaking as per format given in Annexure-I, II and IIA at the time of admission/ counselling.
