Important Dates

  • Opening of the online portal : 21st December 2023
  • Closing of Online Portal : 16th January 2023
  • Date of Qualifying Entrance Examination : 22nd January 2023

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have passed Master’s Degree through the Open University system are not eligible.
  • Candidates who have secured their Master’s Degree and M.Phil with 55% or its equivalent grade of marks (relaxation of 5% marks to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled under (11+1)/(10+2)+3+2 and 10+3+2+2 pattern of courses of study shall be eligible for Ph.D. program.
  • Candidates with NET/SET/JRF/GATE qualifications are exempted from the Qualifying Entrance Examination.
  • A pass in the Qualifying Entrance Examination is valid for one year (Two sessions).

Selection Process

  • Candidates will be admitted for Ph.D. programs through a common entrance test for each discipline, followed by an interview.
  • The Interview will be conducted by forming different interview committees
  • The Interview will be for testing the following five components.
    • Presentation Skill
    • Knowledge on the Infrastructure Required
    • Domain Knowledge
    • Proposed Research
    • New Knowledge to be created
