Eligibility Criteria for Gauhati University MBA Admission 2021
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks (Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories) in aggregate or in Honours/ Major subject (if any) from Gauhati University or any other recognized University.
  • Candidates who will be appearing in the final semester examination of the qualifying bachelor degree are eligible to appear and if selected must meet the eligibility criteria of the MBA Program prior to the first-semester Examination of the Course.

Gauhati University MBA Admission 2021 Application Process
  • Candidates can apply online only through the official website https://www.gauhati.ac.in/ from 1st March 2021 to 12th May 2021, and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Step follow for applying online :
Step 1 – Candidates are first required to go to the G.U. website www.gauhati.ac.in and click on the Home then click on the option “Click here to apply online ” to open the On-Line Application form.
Step 2 – Candidates will have to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form. After that, an Application number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. The candidate should note down the Application number and password.
Step 3 – A SMS indicating the Application number and password will also be sent to the registered Mobile No. They can reopen the saved data using the Application number and password and edit the particulars if needed.
Step 4 – Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph, Signature, and Grade Sheet.
Step 5 – Candidates are advised to carefully fill in the online application themselves as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible/ entertained. Prior to submission of the online application, candidates are advised to use the “Save And Next” option to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. No change is permitted after clicking on Final Submit Button.

Mode of Payment Online through Debit Cards (Visa/Master Card/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking.

Selection Criteria
  • Selection will be based on a Written Test conducted by Gauhati University for screening of candidates for the Group Discussion and Personal Interviews rounds.
  • Applicants acquiring a valid MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT and other national level MBA Entrance Test score of 75 percentile or more have the option of opting out of the written test conducted by Gauhati University and can directly appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.
  • However, for candidates having a valid MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT national level MBA Entrance Test score of 75 percentile or more and also appearing in the written exam, the higher score between both shall be considered.
  • Applicants clearing the written examination or having a valid MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT and other national level MBA EntranceTest score of 75 percentile or more will be finally selected for admission based on their performance in Written or MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT and other national level MBA Entrance Test score, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.
