CAT 2019 Registration process from August 7, last date to apply September 18

CAT 2019 registration process to begin from August 7 – The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has released the notification for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019. The institute will be organising the exam this year. 

 

As per the notification, CAT 2019’s online registration will start on August 7, 2019 at 10 am. The last date for the same is September 18, 2019 at 5 pm. The eligible candidates who intend to give this exam need to submit their respective application before the deadline.

Candidates  are required to pay registration fee of Rs 950/- for SC/ST/PWD Category Candidates and Rs.1900 for all for Other Category.  The candidates can pay the registration fee in online mode only. The payment can be done by using Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking

According to the official advertisement, CAT 2019 will take place on November 24, 2019 in two shifts in 156 cities in India. The registered candidates would be able to download their admit cards from October 23, 2019 onwards. Many reputed management institutes accept CAT scores to grant admissions.

From 2019 onwards, Jawaharlal Nehru University also will be accepting the CAT score in order to grant admission to its management institute ‘School of Management and Entrepreneurship.’ The results are slated to be declared in the first week of January 2020. After this, different IIMs would issue a list of shortlisted candidates on their respective websites. These candidates would get interview letters from shortlisted IIMs directly. The criteria for shortlisting eligible candidates is different for each IIM.

CAT exam is divided into three sections – Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension and Quantitative Ability. Each section will have 60 questions and total duration is of three hours. The candidates will not be allowed to switch from one section to another.

Last year IIM Ahmedabad had conducted this exam and the results were out on January 5, 2019.
