West Bengal GNM and ANM Admission 2023 – WBJEEB will conduct OMR based Common Entrance Examination– ANM(R) & GNM-2023 for admission in various Govt./ Pvt./ Self-financed institutes in the State of West Bengal for the academic session of 2023-24, for two (2) years’ Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (Revised) course and three (3) years’ General Nursing & Midwifery course in.

  • Start Online Registration for ANM & GNM-2023: 17th January 2023
  • Last Date to apply : 13th February 2023

  • Downloading of Admit Card: to be announced
  • Tentative date of examination: 2nd July,2023 (Sunday) (12:00 Noon to 01:30 PM)
  • Release of Entrance Exam Result: to be announced

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India. Must be domicile of West Bengal.
  • The applicant must have passed or must be appearing in 2023 in class 12 examination in (10+2) system only.
  • The applicant’s age must be at least 17 (seventeen) years as on 31.12.2023 i.e., the applicant should have been born on or before 31.12.2006. 

 

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) For Male & Female

Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (Revised) for only Female

    • Maximum age 35 years as on 31.12.2023
    • Residence : Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for at least last ten years till 31.12.2022 
    • Language : Must be able to read, write and express in Bengali and/or Nepali
  • Minimum educational qualification 
    • a) Must pass ‘10+2’ examination from any recognized Board* with at least 40% marks in aggregate.
    • b) Must pass # in English in (10+2) examination.
    • c) Candidates passing (10+2) in Vocational Stream must be from the Health Care Science discipline.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate : All candidates must be medically fit for the course and produce a Medical Fitness Certificate in the format given in APPENDIX3 at the time of admission. 
  • *Recognized Board: Refer to the list of recognized Board/Council given in Board’s website www.wbjeeb.nic.in
  • # ‘Passed’ means passed in both theory and practical/ project as applicable.

  • Candidates can access and submit the application form online on the official website www.wbjeeb.nic.in
  • There is no other mode to submit the application form.

  • Step 4 – Upload a scanned copy of the Photograph and Signature
  • Step 5 – Pay the application fee in online mode only
  • Step 6 – Keep copies of the confirmation page, admit card in safe custody.

 

Examination Fee

  • General Candidates : Rs 400/-
  • SC/ST/OBC Candidates : Rs 300/-
  • Mode of Payment : online through Net banking/ Debit card/Credit Card/UPI only.

 

Selection Procedure

  • Selection of the applicants is made strictly based on marks obtained in the common entrance exam. After that, the counseling process will conduct for seat allotment in different ANM / GNM institutes of West Bengal
  • The seat allotment is done as per schedule given above on this page. If a candidate is provisionally selected for both ANM and GNM training courses, she can only take admission in one based on her preference.

 

Exam Pattern

  • All questions will be of Multiple- Choice Question (MCQ) type, with four answer options.
  • Time for the paper is 1½ hours.
  • The questions will be in both English and Bengali language (except Basic English and Logical Reasoning).

  • Syllabus: Life Science, Physical Science, Mathematics will be based on 10th standard syllabi of the recognised Board/Councils in India and Basic English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning will be equivalent to 12th standard curriculum.
