SCERT Odisha D.El.Ed & B.P.Ed. Admission 2020 – Directorate of Teacher Education & SCERT Odisha (SCERT Odisha), Bhubaneswar invites applications for admissions to 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) and Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.ED.) Course through Online Computer Based Test (CBT) in different TEIs under TE and SCERT, Odisha Bhubaneswar, 03 Institutions under ST & SC Development Department and in 12 Institutions under Higher Education Department for the academic year 2020-21

Eligibility Criteria for SCERT Odisha D.El.Ed & B.P.Ed. Admission 2020

Eligibility for D.El.Ed. Course :

  • The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / +2 Examination in Arts / Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination from recognized Boards / Councils (the candidates shall have to submit equivalent certificate from the competent authority) with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate (45% of mark in aggregate in case of SC, ST, SEBC and PH candidates) excluding marks secured in extra optional.
  • The candidates who have appeared their final year Higher Secondary / +2 Examinations in Arts / Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination from recognized Boards / Councils are also eligible to apply. Their candidature for admission is subject to the required aggregate percentage of mark at Higher Secondary level during the time of their admission, failing which his / her selection will be cancelled.
  • She / he must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (+2) or have passed Odia in single subject Examination conducted by BSE, Odisha of HSC standard or should have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha in Odia medium with MIL other than Odia. Such candidates who have passed HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as MIL should produce a certificate to the effect from the Headmaster of the concerned school that he / she has passed HSC Examination in Odia medium.

Eligibility for B.P.Ed. Course :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter College / Inter Zonal / District / School Competition in Sports and Games as recognized by the AIU / IOA / SGFI / Government of India
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% marks Or  Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied Physical Education as Compulsory / Elective subject
  • Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National / Inter-University / State Competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College / Inter Zonal / District / School Competition in Sports and Games as recognized by the AIU / IOA / SGFI / Government of India
  • Bachelor’s degree with participation in international competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in National / Inter-University Competition in Sports and Games as recognized by respective federations / AIU / IOA / SGFI / Government of India.
  • Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed inservice candidates i.e. trained Physical Education Teachers / Coaches).
  • The candidates who have appeared the last qualifying examination i.e. Graduation in any discipline (whose results are yet to be published) are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit as on 31st August 2020 for D.El.Ed. & B.P.Ed. Course

  • For SC, ST and SEBC Candidates 33 years
  • For Women Candidates of all categories 33 years
  • For General Candidates 28 years
  • For PH Candidates 38 years
  • Note: The upper age limit is inclusive of age relaxation for relevant groups as admissible under Rules. 

SCERT Odisha D.El.Ed & B.P.Ed. Admission 2020 Application Process

  • Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website http://scert.samsodisha.gov.in/
  • The Information Brochure and Online Application Form shall be available in the website (www.samsodisha.gov.in / www.sme.odisha.gov.in / www.scertodisha.nic.in).
  • A student is required to register herself/himself to avail different services under SAMS (e-Admission) such as online application, payments, selection, intimation, etc. The registration will be through an OTP (One Time Password) process, hence a mobile number & email is very crucial. Multiple registrations are restricted against single mobile & email.

For General and SEBC category candidates

For SC/ST category candidates

Rs. 300/-

Mode of Payment

Online through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / Cash Deposit in Axis Bank only.

Selection Procedure

  • State Level short listing of all categories of candidates shall be made through Online Computer Test on the basis of their marks secured in the Online Entrance Test.

Exam Pattern

The test shall be conducted in two papers. Both the papers are compulsory.

Syllabus

 

For D.El.Ed. Course

Paper I – It would consist of Language (English), Education and General Awareness, Reasoning, Teaching Aptitude. 

Paper II – It would consist of Odia / Telugu / Urdu / Olchiki, Mathematics, Social Science, Science. 

For B.P.Ed. Course

Paper I – It would consist of Language (English), General Awareness, Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude

Paper II – The candidates shall have to answer all the questions from current affairs on sports and games, physiology and hygiene, common knowledge about Major Games.

Admit Card

  • Admit card can be downloaded from the website www.samsodisha.gov.in / www.sme.odisha.gov.in / www.scertodisha.nic.in
  • Admit Cards shall be issued Online. The candidates are required to take print out of the same and produce at the Examination Centre.
  • Admit cards will only be released for the candidates who have submitted the application form on or before the last date. Admit card contains the important detail regarding the exams like examination time, venue and instruction which candidates must follow during the examination time.
