Eligibility Criteria for HPTU PhD Admission 2019
- Candidates for admission to the PhD Program shall have a Master’s Degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC-7 point scale (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grinding system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institutions accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational intuitions.
- A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST /DA (PwD) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the university from time to time or for those who had obtained their grade in a point scale wherever grinding system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualifying marks.
HPTU PhD Admission 2019 Application Form
- Fill the required information in every column accurately. Do not leave any column blank. The information supplied by the candidates especially relating to Date of Birth, Category, Domicile and Academic Qualifications shall be treated as final and no change shall be allowed to be made in this regard at a later stage. The application shall be scrutinized strictly according to the information supplied by the candidate and the responsibility with regard to the accuracy of the information shall lie with the candidate himself/herself.
- An entrance test will be conducted for admission to PhD Program and notification to this effect will be issued subsequently and will be available on the University Website i.e. www.himtu.ac.in
- Applications complete in all respects, should be submitted on prescribed proforma (available on university website i.e. www.himtu.ac.in) to the office of Dean Academic, Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur on before 05th February 2019.
- No application shall be entertained after the last date.
