BML Munjal University announces Admission to PhD Program 2023, Winter Session

 

BML Munjal University PhD Admission 2023 – BML Munjal University (BMU), Gurgaon has invited applications for the Admission to PhD program for the Winter Session 2023 (Jan-June). Interested candidates can apply online from BMU official website.

PhD Duration

  • Min. 3 Years for full time candidates, and Min. 4 years for part time and external candidates

 

Important Dates

  • Last date for receipt of On-line Submission of Applications : Monday, 21st November 2022
  • Date of Entrance Examination (On-line) : Wednesday, 07th December 2022
  • Schedule of Interviews (On-line) : 12th to 17th December 2022
  • Selection Notification (through email) : Monday, 26th December 2022
  • Registration Dates : 02nd to 06th January 2023

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The minimum educational qualifications for admission to the Ph. D. program are as follows:

 

School of Engineering & Technology

  • Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology, Science/Life Science & Liberal Arts/ English Literature/ English Language and Linguistics of 2 years duration or equivalent (after graduation in respective discipline) with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6 on a 10-point scale or equivalent as determined by the university wherever letter grades are awarded; or 55% marks in aggregate (of all the years/ semesters) where marks are awarded. Those students who are on the verge of completion of their master’s degree (in final semester) are also eligible to apply. However, their admission is subject to submission of the final marksheet and qualifying the minimum prescribed eligibility criteria at time of registration.
  • GATE qualified candidates (within the last two years) are exempted from the admission test and are eligible for direct interview subject to qualifying the minimum prescribed eligibility criteria (as prescribed above).
  • NET/GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the written entrance examination (BMU Test) and are eligible for direct interview subject to qualifying the minimum prescribed eligibility criteria (as prescribed above).

School of Management

  • Master’s degree (with a minimum of 55% marks OR minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6 on a 10-point scale or equivalent as determined by the University wherever letter grades are awarded) in relevant specialization, from a recognized university. Those students who are on the verge of completion of their Master’s degree (in final semester) are also eligible to apply. However, their admission is subject to submission of the final marksheet and qualifying the minimum prescribed eligibility criteria at time of registration.

 

School of Law

  • Master’s degree (with a minimum of 55% marks OR minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6 on a 10-point scale or equivalent as determined by the University wherever letter grades are awarded) in relevant specialization, from a recognized university. Those students who are on the verge of completion of their master’s degree (in final semester) are also eligible to apply. However, their admission is subject to submission of the final marksheet and qualifying the minimum prescribed eligibility criteria at time of registration.
  • Note: A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates as per UGC norms.

  • Application forms should be submitted online only.

  • Candidates should proceed to fill the Online Application Form only after they satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria.

  • Application Fee (Students of all categories) :- Rs. 1,500/- (Non-refundable)
  • Mode of Payment :- Through online mode

 

Selection Process

  • Applicants will have to go through the following process:
  • Submission of completed application form with all relevant enclosures and application fee
  • Review of applications and short-listing of candidates
  • Written Test (Aptitude and subject specific)
  • Interview by the selection committee
  • The candidates shortlisted by the selection committee will be notified and a formal offer of admission will be given. The committee’s decision in this regard is final and binding.
