Educational Qualifications

For B.Sc (Nursing)

Candidate should have passed in the Subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English individually and must have obtained a  minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination (10+2) from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.

Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% Marks

For P.B. B.Sc. (Nursing)

Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university.

The candidate should be a registered Nurse and Midwife with or without experience or PHN in the hospital / institutions after registration in State Nursing Council.

For M.Sc (Nursing)

The candidate should be a Registered red Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

The Minimum education requirements shall be the Passing degree of Basic B.Sc (Nursing) / P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing) a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks.

The candidates should have undergone B.Sc (Nursing)/PB B.Sc. (Nursing) in an institution which is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.

Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) and  Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Basic B.Sc. (Nursing).

Age Limit

B.Sc (Nursing)

The Candidate should be 17 years of age and above on 31st December 2020. No upper age limit is prescribed.

P.B.B.Sc (Nursing) / M.Sc (Nursing)

No age limit is prescribed.

Application Process

• Application form can be downloaded from the official website http://sbvu.ac.in/

• The filled-in Application Form along with a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- drawn in favor of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, payable at Pondicherry should be submitted to the Office of the Registrar, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, SBV Campus, Pillaiyarkuppam, Pondicherry – 607402 and send directly by post.

• The Completed application forms for both the Colleges should reach the office before 5:00 pm on 25th July 2020. Incomplete/Wrongly filled application will be summarily rejected.

• Read all instructions regarding filling up online forms, and admission to the course are detailed before filling up the application form available on the official website.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the Common Entrance Test (SBVUNCET-2020) conducted by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University.

Syllabus

• The syllabus shall be based on Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim. It will consist of subjects/Questions Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English of 10+2/B.Sc.

Admit Card/Hall Ticket

• The Hall Ticket for SBVUNCET-2020, containing the Name, Registration Number, and photographs will be sent to the candidate by post. The Hall Ticket must be produced at the time of the Entrance Test. Without the Hall Ticket, no candidate will be permitted to write the test.

• The candidates must bring this Admit Card at the Examination Centre. No candidate will be allowed entry without this Hall Ticket.

Duplicate Hall Ticket                                                           

• If the Hall Ticket is not received by 06.08.2020 the candidate should contact “Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College” Puducherry or write to “ Secretary, Selection Committee”, SBVUNCET-2020 with two passport size photographs and proof of having applied for the test to get the Duplicate Hall Ticket.
