Dayananda Sagar University announces Admission Test (DSAT) 2019 for UG PG Admission

DSAT 2019 - Dayananda Sagar Admission Test 2019 is conducted by Dayananda Sagar University Bangalore for admission to UG and PG Courses offered by the university for the academic session 2019-21


DSAT 2019 Courses Offered
Admissions would be through DSAT at the DSI and DSU Campuses to the following programs

  • Engineering-B.Tech: (CS/CT/E&C/Mech/Aerospace)
  • Engineering-M.Tech: (CSE/E&C/Mech)
  • Pharmacy: B.Pharm/M.Pharm /Pharm D
  • Management & Commerce: MBA

Provisional admission would be open for following courses

  • Management & Commerce: B.Com/BBA
  • Biological Sciences: B.Sc/M.Sc
  • Journalism & Communication: BA
  • IT: BCA
  • Nursing: PB-B.Sc/B.Sc/M.Sc
  • Physiotherapy: BPT/MPT)

DSAT 2019 Important Dates

  • Date of Application form commences: 21st Jan 2019
  • Last date of application: Registration will close 3 days prior to each examination date.
  • Dates of Examination: 27th, 28th April and 4th, 5th , 25th and 26th May 2019
  • Declaration of Result: TBD

 

Eligibility Criteria for Dayananda Sagar University Admission 2019

Interested applicants should fulfill following eligibility criteria:

  • B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy): Applicants who have passed two year PUC examination of Karnataka PUC board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board or University with not less than 40% marks in any combination comprising PCM or PCB (minimum eligibility should be based on the aggregate of PCM or PCB) or PCMB, PC and Computer Science, PC and Electronics
  • B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology): Applicants should have Pass in PUC/CBSE / ISCE/10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 45% (for SC/ST 40%) marks aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics and English as a compulsory subject
  • BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): Pass in PUC/CBSE/ISCE/10+2 or equivalent examination. + DSAT Examination
  • BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): Pass in PUC/CBSE/ISCE/10+2 or equivalent examination. + DSAT Examination
  • B.A Journalism: Merit in PUC/CBSE/ISCE/10+2 or Equivalent Examination + DSAT Entrance Test
  • B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): Pass in PUC/CBSE/ISCE/10+2 or equivalent examination. + DSAT Examination
  • B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science): Passed in PUC / CBSE/ ICSE or equivalent examination with Chemistry as one of the compulsory subjects in the qualifying examination with 45% marks in aggregate

PB B.Sc. (Nursing): Pass in Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM) and should be a registered nurse

  • Pass in B.Sc. Nursing (Basic), or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree or Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing any recognized university with aggregate marks not less than 50%
  • Minimum of one-year experience after obtaining B.Sc. Nursing (Basic), in a hospital or in nursing educational institution or in a community health setting
  • Should be a registered nurse

M.Sc. (Nursing): Pass in Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM) and should be a registered nurse

  • Pass in B.Sc. Nursing (Basic), or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree or Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing any recognized university with aggregate marks not less than 50%
  • Minimum of one-year experience after obtaining B.Sc. Nursing (Basic), in a hospital or in nursing educational institution or in a community health setting
  • Should be a registered nurse
  • M.Tech (Master of Technology): Pass in B.E/B.Tech examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in relevant field and DSAT / GATE / PGCET score
  • Pharm.D: Pass in any of the following examinations-10+2/PUC or equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology
  • BPT (Bachelors in Physiotherapy): Pass in PUC/CBSE/ISCE/10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 40% marks aggregate in PCB with English as one of the languages
  • MPT (Master’s in Physiotherapy): Pass in B.Sc., (PT) degree of 3½ years duration or BPT degree of 4½ years both full time programs from any recognized university in India or abroad as equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and have completed 6 months of compulsory rotating internship in physiotherapy colleges.

DSAT 2019 Application Process

  • Applicants applying online for the various courses at Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) are required to apply only through the DSU website www.dsu.edu.in. No other means/mode of application will be accepted for DSAT
  • Before proceeding to filling up the Online Application, the applicants should have scanned image of their (a) Photograph and (b) Signature in CD/DVD/Pen drive as per their convenience. These documents will be required for uploading and submission of your Online Application
  • A valid Email and Mobile Number is mandatory for the registration of your Online Application. This EMail and Mobile number should be kept active till the declaration of results. DSU will send important information with regard to your application and examination on this registered Email/Mobile number
  • After receiving your User ID and Password on mail you will not be able to edit certain fields of the Online Application. Applicants are hence requested to fill in the online application form with the utmost care as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained
