WLCI AICET 2018 - All India Combined Entrance Test

 

Applications are invited by WLC College India, New Delhi for admission to Full Time Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes offered under the School of Fashion, School of Advertising & Graphic Design, School of Media & Mass Communication and School of Business across its various Campuses for the session 2018

Courses Offered

School of Fashion - Programs for Undergraduates

BA (Hons) Fashion Design: 4 years
Students have the option to study for a top up program at the University of Central Lancashire, Coventry University, University of Bedford shire Or the Heriot Watt University in the UK; this program is offered as a progression from the BTEC - HND

Bachelor of Design (Fashion Design): 4 years
Students will study at the Sharda University Campus at Greater Noida); apprenticeship is an integral part of the program

Professional Diploma in Fashion Technology: 4 years (Integrated)
This is offered as a progression from the Advanced Diploma. The course develops professional skills required to succeed as a specialist or as an entrepreneur in the Apparel Industry. Apprenticeship is an integral part of this program, which enables students to earn while they learn

School of Advertising & Graphic Design - Program for Undergraduates

Advanced Diploma in Fashion Technology: 3 years
This is a progressive professional programme, which consists of the Foundation Level, the higher level and the Advanced level; this is a hands-on program that is designed to enable skills development and employability

BTEC - HND in Fashion & Textile: 2 years
This is a specialist professional qualification that reflects the requirements of the fashion industry; this is ideal for those who wish to enter the fashion industry or are seeking a pathway to higher education

School of Advertising & Graphic Design - Programme for Graduates

Masters of Design (Visual Communication): 2 years
Students will study at the Sharda University campus at Greater Noida. Apprenticeship is an integral part of the programme

Professional Diploma in Visual Communication: 2 years
This is a professional course consisting of the Advanced Level & Professional Level. This course has been designed with the objective of enabling the students to enter the workplace as specialists

Executive Diploma in Graphic Design (Advertising/Visual Merchandising/Printing): 1 year

School of Media & Mass Communication - Program for Graduates

MA in Mass Communication (Creative Media Production): 2 years
Students will study at the Sharda University campus at Greater Noida. Apprenticeship is an integral part of the program

Professional Diploma in Mass Communication: 2 years

This is a professional course consisting of the Advanced level & Professional Level. This course has been designed with the objective of enabling the students to enter the workplace as specialists. It focuses on developing competencies that are valuable to employers in the Industry these include Web Journalism, Print, Television & PR

Executive Diploma in Journalism/Film/PR: 2 years

This programme is suitable for working professionals seeking to enhance their skills in specialised areas of Media. This will enable a working professional to gain an edge in the workplace

 

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Under Graduates Programs:
The +2 level examinations in the 10+2 pattern of exam of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi (or);

General Certificate Education (GCE) Exam (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB) (or);

Any Public School/Board/University Exam in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system (or);

A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Exam conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects (or); 3 or 4 years Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education

 

Eligibility for Graduates Programs:

Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institution/University recognized in India (or); Advanced Diploma in Fashion Technology/Advertising and Graphic Design/Media Production from WLCI (or)
Diploma of at least 3 years duration in Fashion/Advertising & Graphic Design/Media/ Mass Communications from any other Institution/College

 

Eligibility for Master’s Degree Program:
Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institution /University recognised in India

 

Reservation of Seats
The seats reserved for SC/ST/Differently Abled Candidates (PHP)/Foreign Nationals/SAARC/NRI, in each program are as under:
SC - 15%
ST - 7.5%
OBC (NON-CREAMY) - 15%
Differently Abled Persons - 5%
Foreign Nationals/SAARC/NR 10% (supernumerary
State Domicile - 10% (supernumerary)
Category once filled up in the application form will not be changed at any stage; the qualifying candidates need to meet the eligibility and admission requirements of WLCI
Candidates applying for Programmes for Graduates in Fashion Technology, Visual Communication or Mass Communication should arrange to send GMAT/GRE test scores to WLCI Head, Office New Delhi

 

Application Procedure

Candidates can apply online at www.admissions.wlci.in

Guidelines for applying online may be referred for the purpose; the Information Booklet is available at admissions.wlci.in free of cost

The Application Fee has to be paid through online payment gateway or through Bank Demand Draft issued in favour of "WLC College (India) Ltd" payable at New Delhi

Fee Details
Fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy) Category: Rs.2000/- through payment gateway or DD
Fee for SC/ST/PHP Category: Rs.1000/- through payment gateway or DD

Mode of Payment

Credit Cards /Debit Cards: Payments of application fee (Rs.2000/-or Rs.1000/-) can be made through credit cards/debit cards as explained above; the Bank and transaction charges on the application fee will be borne by the applicant. Candidates are advised to apply on time

Demand Draft: Payment of application fee (Rs.2000/-in case of GEN/OBC (Non-Creamy) candidates and Rs.1000/- in case of SC/ ST/PHP candidates) can be made through Bank Demand Draft as explained above

The Demand Draft should be issued in favour of “WLC College (India) Ltd”, payable at New Delhi. The details of the Demand Draft are to be filled in the online application form
Candidates applying through Demand Draft are required to send the printout of the Application Form, duly completed in all respect, along with Demand Draft on the following address WLC College (India) Ltd. 160-B, Western Avenue, Sainik Farms New Delhi-110062

List of Exam Cities
The entrance test- AICET for all UG and PG Programmes of WLCI will be scheduled for the applicants by the Admissions Officer and conducted at the selected WLCI Campus
1) Delhi, 2) Kolkata, 3) Kathmandu (Nepal), 5) Mumbai

Admit Cards
On the basis of information given in the WLCI Application Forms, Admit Cards of eligible candidates will be sent by mail to the registered email address and will not be sent by post

 

Entrance Exam

All eligible candidates will have to appear for a written entrance exam at the WLCI Campus opted by them. The examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted. There is no negative marking

Mobiles and other infotech gadgets are not allowed inside the Exam Hall

Candidates found with mobile or other infotech gadgets will be asked to leave the examination hall and shall be disqualified. Candidates should reach the campus at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination
