Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2018 by KPPGCA for admission to MBA, PGDM and MCA Courses

KPPGCA KMAT Karnataka 2018 - Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2018 is conducted to screen candidates seeking admission into various colleges offering MBA/ PGDM and MCA. The exam is conducted by the Karnataka Private Postgraduate Colleges Association, KPPGCA. The exam is conducted in different places across Karnataka.

KMAT 2018, to be held on Sunday, 22nd July 2018 is the last common entrance exam for MBA/PGDM Admissions 2018. It is a conventional Paper-Pencil Test.

About KMAT & KPPGCA Association

KMAT 2018

Eligibility Criteria

  • Entry requirements into professional courses like MBA/PGDM/MCA in Karnataka are followed as per the UGC guidelines


  • Bachelors degree with minimum 3 years duration/ MastersDegree Examof any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidate). Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible


  • Bachelor's degree with 50% marks. Candidates should have studied Maths at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.

Selection Criteria

  • Candidates will be selected for admission to the applied course on the basis of KMAT scores‚ group discussion and personal interview. More details can be available from the official website (www.kmatindia.com)


KMAT 2018 Syllabus

  • KMAT 2018 is proposed to be conducted with moderate level of difficulty without creating confusion in paper-pencil mode. The exam will have MCQs only. Section wise syllabus for KMAT 2018 is as follows

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension

  • English language ability would be tested through questions on Grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages etc. There would be questions on understanding of the contents of the passages and choice of appropriate words, phrases, expressions and similar language skills
  • This shall include the passages with questions based on their contents to test comprehension

Logical and Abstract Reasoning

  • This shall include questions to measure how quickly and accurately you can think. The section may have questions in sets as well individual ones based on Verbal Reasoning, analogy among others

Quantitative Ability

  • The questions in this section will be of matriculation standard
  • This shall include questions to know how fast and accurate you can work with numbers, do numerical calculations, understand various arithmetic problems involving ratio & proportion, percentage, interest, time and speed etc. Apart from Arithmetic, the questions may also be based on Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and parts of mathematics

Applications Process

  • Candidates can also download from the KMAT Online Application Form the KMAT website www.kmatindia.com. Applications may be obtained by paying Rs.50/- in any of the participating colleges

Application Form & Fee

  • Demand Draft should  be made in favour of "KMAT 2018" and should be payable at Bangalore
  • Candidates who are applying for MBA have to prepare a DD of Rs 1000/-
  • Candidates who are applying for MCA have to prepare a DD of Rs 1000/-
  • Completed KMAT 2018 Application Form along with the Demand Draft (DD) and necessary postage should reach to the following address on or before Wednesday, 07th June 2018. The Secretary - KMAT 2018, Sheshdripuram
  • The process is simple and is available only in online. It will take only a few minutes to complete the online registration form
