Distance Education Entrance Test 2010

 

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to MBA, MCA and M.Sc degree programmes of distance mode for the calendar year 2010/academic year 2010-11

 

Eligibility Criteria

MBA (4 Semesters)

1. MBA - General Management
2. MBA – Technology Management
3. MBA – Financial Service Management
4. MBA – Retail Management
5. MBA – Health Services Management
6. MBA – Human Resources Management

Eligibility:

(I) Any Bachelor Degree*

(II) A pass in the distance education entrance test (DEET) conducted by Anna university Chennai

*All degrees must have been obtained in 10+2+3 pattern

 

MCA (6 Semesters)

Emphasizing

1. Call Centre Management
2. E-Learning
3. Health Care
4. Trading and Equity Management
5. Banking Technology

Eligibility

(I) Any Bachelor degree*. The candidate should have studied Core Mathematics either at +2 level or Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Oriented subject as one of the subjects at the degree level .

(II) A pass in the distance education entrance test (DEET) conducted by Anna university Chennai

*All degrees must have been obtained in 10+2+3 pattern

M.Sc. (4 Semesters)

M.Sc. – Information Technology

Eligibility
(I) B.Sc* (Mathematics/computer science/information technology/software engineering/electronics) or B.Sc* (Physics/statistics/chemistry) or B.E.S.* with Mathematics or computer science as allied subject or B.Sc* applied sciences (computer technology/information technology/computer systems maintenance and networking) or BCA* or B.E.*/B.Tech* (any branch).

(II) A pass in the distance education entrance test (DEET) conducted by Anna university Chennai

* All degree must have been obtained in 10+2+3 pattern

Demand draft should be drawn in favour of The Director, centre for distance education, Anna university Chennai, Chennai-25 payable at Chennai and obtained from any nationalized bank on or after 05.11.2009

Candidates submitting applications in person can get the hall ticket on the same day

Candidates getting the application form from the centre for distance education can submit the same immediately if they bring two copies of passport size photograph and attested Xerox copies of required certificates and get the hall ticket the same day

Candidates responding to this advertisement and selected through entrance test* are eligible for admission in any one of the immediate two successive batches of admission (CY 2010 or AY 2010-11)

Commencement of issue of application forms/downloading blank application form: 10.11.2009

Last date for receipt of requisition for issue of application forms by post for calendar year 2010 batch: 21.12.2009

Last date for receipt of completed applications for calendar year 2010 batch: 31.12.2009

Date of entrance tests programme MBA, MCA and M.SC: 31.01.2010, 10.00 am to 12.00 noon

Dates specified are for calendar year 2010 batch only, otherwise applications are sold throughout the year

Note: Study centres will be operated in Tamil Nadu only where there are sufficient number of candidates. Candidates should send only one application. Candidates awaiting results of the qualifying examination shall produce a copy of the relevant provisional/degree certificate at the time of admission
