For NCVT approved skill training courses for class X/XII passed

Courses starting w.e.f. August, 2011

Applications are invited from women candidates for admission to the following basic skill courses

Educational qualification: Passed 12th class under 10+2 system or duly recognized 3 years diploma in engineering from any recognized polytechnic after 10th class (other things being equal, the candidates with higher qualifications will be given preference)

Short Term course in above areas (not under NCVT) (1 to 8 weeks)

Educational qualification: Passed 08th class or above

Institute(s) where courses are offered and no of seats: NVTI/RVTIs 20 seats in each course

Hostel facilities are available at NVTI Noida and RVTIs at Bangalore, Mumbai, Jaipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Tura, Kolkata, Panipat, Vadodara and Allahabad. For RVTI Indore, the candidates shall have to make their own arrangements

Separate applications as per proforma given below may be submitted for each course

Each application shall be accompanied by IPO of Rs 75/- (Rs 25/- towards application fee and Rs 50/- for registration fee) in favour of DDO (mention the name of Institute to which application submitted). If the application is submitted by hand, the application may remit the amount of Rs 75/- in cash in the institute

Applications complete in all respects may be submitted personally or sent by post to the Institute wherein admission is sought, so as to reach the Institute by 4 p.m. of 19th July, 2010

Age: Minimum 15 years and no upper age limit

Admission shall be made on merit basis

DGE&T reserves the right to discontinue/postpone/or not to start the training programmers in any of the trades and increase/decrease the seating capacity at its discretion without assigning any reason

Last date for submission of application is 19th July, 2010

List of selected candidates would be displayed at Institute’s notice board by 30th July, 2010

Candidates have to make their own arrangements to ascertain their position in the merit list and the date of admission. Candidates will not be informed individually

Admission shall close by 9th August 2010 but may close early if seats are filled up
