The University of Hyderabad, a premier institution of postgraduate teaching and research offers admission into different courses/programmes on All India basis in order of merit in the entrance examination
The university offers boarding/boarding-cum-lodging allowances/fellowships to all the students admitted to any of its regular programmes of study
Courses/programmes offered
5 year integrated M.A., M.Sc courses (10 semesters): After 10+2 education in Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences
PG Courses (4/6 semesters): After 10+2+3 education in Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Art History, Communication, Business Administration in Health Care and Hospital Management, Health Psychology, Master of Computer Application
Adv PG Diploma and PG Diploma (2 semesters): In Folk Culture Studies, Mineral Exploration, Counseling Psychology and Health Fitness and Life Style Management
M.Tech Programmes (4 semesters): Information Technology (CS/AI/IT), Computational Techniques, Integrated Circuit Technology, Bioinformatics and Mineral Exploration
M.Phil Programmes (2 semesters): Humanities and Social Sciences
Ph.D Programmes (2-5 years): Science, Humanities, Social Sciences
Integrated M.Tech/Ph.D: Material Engineering, Nano Science and Technology
M.Sc/Ph.D: Biotechnology

The University reserves the right to cancel any of the examination centres and allot another centre closer to the center cancelled
Cost of each copy of prospectus-cum-application form for Genral/OBC category Rs 400/-; for SC/ST/PH category Rs 150/- (separate application is required for each course/programme)

Candidates who are appearing in the final examinations of the qualifying degree and expecting their results and certificates before 31st July 2011 are also eligible to apply
Reservation of seats: Reservation of seats shall be as per the GoI/UGC norms for SC/ST/OBC/PH/wards/dependants of defence personnel/Kashmir migrants/foreign nationals/NRIs
Few seats are also provided to the nominees of some UT/NE states
Relaxation in the prescribed percentage of marks in the qualifying degree examination is also provided for SC/ST/PH categories
Hostel accommodation is not guaranteed to all the students admitted
How to apply: The prospectus-cum-application forms can be downloaded from the university website. Filled in such applications should be submitted to the University along with a demand draft of Rs 200/- for each course in the case of general/OBC category and Rs 75/- for each course in the case of SC/ST/PH categories
Prospectus-cum-application forms can be obtained in person from the academic section, office of the controller of examinations, university campus, Hyderabad against cash payment
The prospectus-cum-application forms can also be obtained by ordinary post from the Dy Registrar (Acad and Exams), Prof CR Rao Road, Gachibowli, University of Hyderabad, PO Central University, Hyderabad-500046 by sending a requisition; one self addressed adhesive sticker/slip; and a crossed demand draft for an amount of Rs 450/- in the case of general/OBC category and Rs 200/- in the case of SC/ST/PH categories for each copy of prospectus-cum-application form which includes Rs 50/- towards the ordinary postal charges
The demand draft should be drawn in favour of the finance officer, university of Hyderabad, on state bank of India, Hyderabad central university campus branch, Hyderabad (code 5916) or on Andhra Bank, Nampally branch, Hyderabad (code 378)
The duly filled in applications are to be submitted in person at the academic section or by post to the Dy Registrar (Acad and Exams) to the above address so as to reach him on or before 06th May, 2011

Downloading of Hall Tickets from: 20th May, 2011
Dates of entrance examinations: 01st June, 2011 to 07th June, 2011
Hall Tickets, information to short-listed candidates for interview and selected/wait-listed candidates will not be communicated by post. It is the responsibility of the candidates to check the university website for downloading the Hall Tickets, results and the relevant formats required for admission
