Eligibility: Candidates who are applying for B.V.Sc & A.H./B.F.Sc/B.Tech (Food Technology)/ B.Tech (Poultry Production Technology) undergraduate degree courses should have passed HSC (10+2)/ CBSE/other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto with the marks as prescribed below
Biology or Zoology and Botany, OC/BC 60%, MBC/DNC 55%, SC/ST Pass
Chemistry and Physics taken together, OC/BC 60%, MBC/DNC 55%, SC/ST Pass
Aggregate of Biology or Zoology and Botany, Chemistry and Physics should not be less than, OC 65%, BC 65%, MBC/DNC 60%, SC/ST Pass
Biology; OC/BC 60%, MBC/DNC 55%, SC/ST Pass
B.V.Sc & A.H.-Poultry/Dairying only, B.F.Sc-Fisheries only (Theory, Practical I and Practical II taken together), OC/BC 60%, MBC/DNC 55%, SC/ST Pass
Aggregate of Biology, Vocational Subjects should not be less than, OC 70%, BC 65%, MBC/DNC 60%, SC/ST Pass
Vocational stream candidates will be considered in B.V.Sc & A.H. and B.F.Sc degree courses only against the seats reserved for them

The maximum number of attempts made in passing the qualifying examination is limited to three for SC/ST candidates and two for others
Age Limit: Candidates should not have completed the age as on 01st July, 2012
SC/ST-no age limit; others-21 years
No relaxation of age limit is permissible on any grounds
Selection: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the HSC/equivalent examination as per the Govt orders
Application Forms: Separate application form should be used for B.V.Sc & A.H., B.F.Sc, B.Tech (Food Technology) and B.Tech (Poultry Production Technology) degree courses
Request letter for application forms should contain the name of the candidate and the course for which the application (B.V.Sc & A.H./B.F.Sc/B.Tech-Food Technology/B.Tech-Poultry Production Technology) is required
Application form can be had in person or by post from any one of the following colleges on a written request along with a demand draft for Rs 600/- (Rs six hundred only) (Rs 300/- for SC/ST candidates) for each course towards the cost of application form including registration, drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, TANUVAS, Chennai-600051 payable at Chennai
